JSERRA

JSerra has one of the best offensive lines in the state with four potential All-League players: [player_tooltip player_id='282706' first='Jake' last='Flores'] (Washington), Daniel Tuliau (San Jose State), Josh Haney and [player_tooltip player_id='1182949' first='Niniva' last='Nicholson']. They will be protecting new quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1284693' first='Ryan' last='Hopkins'] but don't be surprised to see sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='1284695' first='Koa' last='Smith-Mayall'] get some reps under center. [player_tooltip player_id='406721' first='George' last='Perez'] and Gabriel Rivas are quality running backs and [player_tooltip player_id='1197620' first='Darian' last='Webb'] is a versatile player to keep an eye on. [player_tooltip player_id='1182953' first='Brett' last='Debergh'] and Axel Olander should be the team's top receivers.

Linebacker [player_tooltip player_id='282705' first='Madden' last='Faraimo'] is the best uncommitted player in the state and will lead the defense. UNLV commit [player_tooltip player_id='406653' first='Logan' last='Christensen'] leads the defense and the Lions added a pair of transfers Elisha Canales (Long Beach Poly) and Zacarias Nickerson (Warren). JSerra is in its second season under coach Victor Santa Cruz and he raved about the team's progress in the weight room this offseason.

https://twitter.com/JSerra_Football/status/1825737798336631222

MATER DEI

The Monarchs have a new coach in Raul Lara and a ton of returning starters. The defense is loaded with Power 4 commits led by Oregon commit [player_tooltip player_id='282774' first='Nasir' last='Wyatt'] who has had 29 sacks in two seasons. [player_tooltip player_id='723702' first='Semi' last='Taulanga'] is a Utah commit who will lead the interior defensive line with [player_tooltip player_id='283689' first='Tomuhini' last='Topui']. Alabama commit [player_tooltip player_id='723696' first='Abduall' last='Sanders'] is an elite linebacker who had a pick-six in the CIF championship game last season. Fellow Alabama commit [player_tooltip player_id='282734' first='Chuck' last='McDonald III'] leads the secondary with Penn State commit [player_tooltip player_id='282700' first='Daryus' last='Dixson'].

Mater Dei has a transfer quarterback from Chaparral, [player_tooltip player_id='270900' first='Dash' last='Beierly'] who is committed to Washington. Sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='1197560' first='Furian' last='Inferrera'] would start at many schools at quarterback and may see some time this year as well. The receiving corps may be the best in the state with the addition of Ohio State commit [player_tooltip player_id='284103' first='Chris' last='Henry Jr']. [player_tooltip player_id='401273' first='Kayden' last='Dixon-Wyatt'], [player_tooltip player_id='282711' first='Marcus' last='Harris'] and [player_tooltip player_id='292489' first='JuJu' last='Parm'] will also be big contributors at receiver. Running back [player_tooltip player_id='282698' first='Jordon' last='Davison'] is committed to Oregon and is the only returning rusher who has meaningful varsity experience. The offensive line is led by junior Oregon commit [player_tooltip player_id='536980' first='Kodi' last='Greene'] who transferred in from Eastside Catholic in Washington. [player_tooltip player_id='282776' first='Sione' last='Tohi'] is a four-year starter on the interior of the offensive line. Mater Dei is the No. 1 team in the nation according to MaxPreps.

https://twitter.com/MDFootball/status/1826018565209964790

ORANGE LUTHERAN

Orange Lutheran arguably plays the toughest schedule in the state and has two new coordinators. Seniors [player_tooltip player_id='976915' first='Nehemiah' last='Johnson'] (UCLA) and [player_tooltip player_id='976935' first='Cole' last='Principe'] (Rice) lead the group with highly-touted junior [player_tooltip player_id='780266' first='Samuelu' last='Utu'] and [player_tooltip player_id='283610' first='Dustin' last='Foisia'] is a guy I'm high on. Nebraska commit [player_tooltip player_id='282728' first='TJ' last='Lateef'] is the starting quarterback and is one of the best in the Southern Section. San Jose State commit [player_tooltip player_id='282694' first='Steve' last='Chavez'] is the starting running back and the two top receivers should be AJ Ia and [player_tooltip player_id='282715' first='Tyler' last='Hennessy']. [player_tooltip player_id='283686' first='Talanoa' last='Ili'] is a junior linebacker who is the best 2026 linebacker in the state. Wallace Filemu is a defensive player I'm high on and [player_tooltip player_id='723729' first='Benjamin' last='Alefaio'] was an All-League defensive back last season. If Orange Lutheran can get through its gauntlet of a schedule, the Lancers should be a Division 1 playoff team.

https://twitter.com/OLuFootball/status/1821849045477798317

SANTA MARGARITA

Santa Margarita won the offseason transfer sweepstakes and also has some key pieces returning from last season. Junior [player_tooltip player_id='283690' first='Trent' last='Mosley'] led the Trinity League in touchdowns last season and is the most dynamic playmaker in the county. The receiving corps also features Washington State commit [player_tooltip player_id='976922' first='Sean' last='Embree'] Jr. and UCLA commit [player_tooltip player_id='283630' first='Jonah' last='Smith'] who transferred from Mater Dei. Smith suffered a leg injury but may be back by the team league play rolls around. The offensive line features 6-foot-8 USC commit [player_tooltip player_id='976941' first='Elijah' last='Vaikona'] and an All-League returner in [player_tooltip player_id='1338415' first='Ethan' last='Thomas']. The secondary is the strength of the team led by [player_tooltip player_id='1288067' first='Logan' last='Hirou'], [player_tooltip player_id='401277' first='Lennie' last='Brown'], Luke Anderson and Mater Dei transfer [player_tooltip player_id='283684' first='Siua' last='Holani']. A pair of freshmen may see some significant time in the secondary: [player_tooltip player_id='1621228' first='Jordan' last='Hicks'] and [player_tooltip player_id='977697' first='Ca'ron' last='Williams']. Georgia commit [player_tooltip player_id='1338355' first='JJ' last='Hanne'] leads the defensive line.

https://twitter.com/SMCHS_Football/status/1805459887587311677

SERVITE

The Friars are in its second team under coach Cris Reinert after reaching a CIF championship game in his first season. Michigan State commit [player_tooltip player_id='406664' first='Leo' last='Hannan'] returns at quarterback and San Diego State commit [player_tooltip player_id='723744' first='Quaid' last='Carr'] may be the best running back in the county. Receiver is a bit of a question mark for Servite but [player_tooltip player_id='1288773' first='Devan' last='Parker'] is a top receiver in the league and [player_tooltip player_id='1183031' first='Luke' last='Sorensen'] is a big tight end. The offensive line is underrated with [player_tooltip player_id='1582115' first='Gavin' last='Jones'] and a pair of big freshmen: [player_tooltip player_id='958796' first='Elisha' last='Mueller'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1021360' first='Keiden' last='Lokeni'].

Servite's defense struggled in league play last season but has some key guys back. [player_tooltip player_id='1158489' first='Tomas' last='Cernius'] is a baseball player as well and led the team in sacks. [player_tooltip player_id='1197211' first='Isaiah' last='Leilua'] led the team in tackles and is back along with defensive backs [player_tooltip player_id='1182999' first='Tristin' last='Ordaz'] and Saxon Churchwell. [player_tooltip player_id='208590' first='Brayden' last='Kim'] is a safety with lower level offers and freshman [player_tooltip player_id='1044406' first='Jordan' last='Robinson'] got starting reps at corner during the Mission Viejo passing tournament.

https://twitter.com/ServiteFootball/status/1816891563328569625

ST. JOHN BOSCO

The Braves graduated one of its best senior classes in recent years but as always has a ton of talent coming back. The receiving corps is excellent with returning juniors [player_tooltip player_id='209113' first='Madden' last='Williams'], [player_tooltip player_id='283605' first='Daniel' last='Odom'] and Los Alamitos transfer [player_tooltip player_id='401226' first='Carson' last='Clark']. Christian Davis had a big day at the Battle at the Beach tournament and freshman [player_tooltip player_id='408739' first='Darren' last='Tubbs Jr'] may be an impact freshman. I expect [player_tooltip player_id='401284' first='Matai' last='Fuiava'] to be the starting quarterback but [player_tooltip player_id='959174' first='Koa' last='Malau'ulu'] could start at a lot of schools. The offensive line has multiple returning starters in [player_tooltip player_id='841045' first='Matthew' last='George Perdue'] and [player_tooltip player_id='283585' first='Adrian' last='Tavui'].

St. John Bosco has a pair of outstanding edge rushers in Oregon commit [player_tooltip player_id='401241' first='Dutch' last='Horisk'] and UCLA commit [player_tooltip player_id='723690' first='Epi' last='Sitanilei']. In my opinion Horisk is one of the best edge rushers in the state. The Braves graduated the best linebacking corps in the state but watch for sophomore linebacker [player_tooltip player_id='1197527' first='Justin' last='Coach'] to make a big impact. USC commit [player_tooltip player_id='283632' first='Josh' last='Holland'] leads the secondary and is one of the best corners in the state.
