Orange Lutheran running back Steve Chavez Steve Chavez Steve Chavez 6'0" | 210 lbs | RB Orange Lutheran | 2025 State CA announced his commitment to San Jose State on Monday.

Chavez ran for 971 yards on 194 carries with 16 touchdowns last season for Orange Lutheran after transferring from Damien.

He was one of the running back MVPs at the Under Armour Next All-American camp.

Chavez also had offers from Air Force, Army, Montana and Nevada. He is one of seven players from California in San Jose State’s 2025 recruiting class.
