Bland led Orange Lutheran in receiving this season with 832 yards with seven touchdowns.

He also has offers from UCLA, Utah and Washington among others. Bland is the first player from California in Arizona State’s 2027 recruiting class.

Orange Lutheran class of 2027 receiver Nico Bland Nico Bland 6'1" | 190 lbs | WR Orange Lutheran | 2027 State CA was offered by Sacramento State last Sunday.

Bland caught eight passes for 88 yards with three touchdowns in just five games for Orange Lutheran as a sophomore.

He had offers from Nevada and Washington in 2023 but Sacramento State is the first school to offer Bland since the season ended.

Bland is a well-built 6’1” 195 lbs. with a great combination of speed, length, and strength. Flashes an accelerated short area burst off the line and a sustained second gear to be an explosive deep threat. Good natural ball skills, showing hand-eye coordination and confidence competing for the ball at the catch point. His speed and elusiveness in the open field make him dangerous after the catch. His recruitment started early with offers coming in from Nevada and Washington as an 8^th grader but watch his stock skyrocket as he sees more opportunities to showcase his skillset over the next several years.
