He covers a ton of the field as a safety in zone coverage from single-high and two-high sets. Washington can come into the box in run support or play man coverage in the slot. His physical tools make him stand out and he’s one of the best open field tacklers in the class.

A lot to like about Washington’s physical tools with his blend of length, speed, and pure athleticism. Possesses the versatility to align as a deep safety or roll down into the box, giving a defense flexibility across multiple schemes. Rangy in coverage, he covers ground effortlessly using his change of direction and burst to cover all areas of the field and close separation with the ball in the air. In run support, he fills the alley aggressively and is a strong one on one open field tackler that delivers heavy contact and wraps up to the ground. Finished the 2025 season with 72 total tackles, 2 interceptions, and 5 PBU. Holds six D1 offers with five of them being from P4 programs. His combination of range, physicality, and positional versatility makes him a high upside major D1 prospect.

Washington is a elite safety prospect with great length and range and is one of the more violent hitters in the class. The Orange Lutheran product shows natural instincts, ends routes over the middle and covers a ton of ground quickly with long strides and closing speed. He is fluid in coverage, shows he can peel off in zone coverage and baits quarterbacks into poor throws over the middle. He is a true middle of the field third level defender that can cover sideline to sideline and is a no-brainer P4 caliber player that should explode onto the scene this year.
