Dixson returned an interception 31 yards for a touchdown in Mater Dei’s win over Centennial.

He is one of the more physical corners I’ve seen and he’s excellent in man coverage. Dixson is intelligent in zone coverage as well and has good ball skills.

Mater Dei class of 2025 defensive back Daryus Dixson Daryus Dixson Daryus Dixson 6'1" | 180 lbs | DB Mater Dei | 2025 State CA announced his commitment to Penn State on Monday.

Dixson led Mater Dei in tackles last season with 56, had three interceptions and a forced fumble.

He chose Penn State over 25 other schools that offered him including Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State and USC among others.

Dixson is the first player from California in Penn State’s 2025 recruiting class and the second defensive back.

Dixson is a great blend of speed and power. He can bump and reroute guys at the line of scrimmage as good as anyone and he can stay in the hip pocket of receivers down the field.

He has added some muscle since I saw him in the fall and he was definitely in the running for MVP.

Mater Dei class of 2025 safety Daryus Dixson Daryus Dixson Daryus Dixson 6'1" | 180 lbs | DB Mater Dei | 2025 State CA was offered by Georgia on Christmas.

Dixson was Mater Dei’s leading tackler this season and showed he is strong in pass coverage and as a run stopper.

Georgia is the 21st school to offer Dixson joining Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oregon and USC among others.

He was very impressive as a blitzer, a part of his game I hadn’t seen in person before, and had two tackles for a loss.
