Wyatt had 6.5 tackles with 1.5 for a loss and half a sack in Mater Dei’s win over De La Salle in the Open Divison championship game.

He was constantly in the backfield in De La Salle’s option offense and is so explosive off the ball. De La Salle didn’t throw often, but whenever they did Wyatt was in the face of the quarterback.

Wyatt is one of the best edge rushers I’ve seen at the high school level.

His speed and agility off the edge are elite and when you combine that with his aggressiveness, he’s a nightmare for opposing tackles.

Wyatt had 14 sacks in 12 games last season for the best team in the state. He has the frame to put on size and he could be an impact player at Oregon.

Mater Dei edge rusher Nasir Wyatt Nasir Wyatt 6'3" | 225 lbs | LB Mater Dei | 2025 State CA announced his commitment to Oregon last Friday.

Wyatt is one of the top overall players in the class and earned Prep Redzone All-Southern California Junior Team honors.

He had 41 tackles, 21 for a loss, 14 sacks, three forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries last season. His 14 sacks led the Trinity League.

Wyatt chose Oregon over 25 other schools that offered him including Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State and USC among others. He is the third player from California in Oregon’s 2025 recruiting class.
