He’s one of the best inside linebackers in pass coverage I have seen and had a big interception to keep De La Salle at arm’s distance in the fourth quarter.

Sanders had 48 tackles with 3.5 sacks, three forced fumbles and an interception last season for the State champions and was a top performer at the Under Armour Camp last weekend.
He chose Alabama over 17 other schools that offered him including Baylor and Tennessee. Sanders is the first player from California in Alabama’s 2025 recruiting class.

Sanders had a pick six in the biggest game of the year last season and showed again on Sunday that he is excellent in pass coverage.
The recent Alabama commit moves well laterally and has the speed to hang all the running backs up the field.

He had a 52-yard interception return for a touchdown against St. John Bosco in the championship game and was the breakout player of Mater Dei’s defense.
Sanders is up to 17 offers and will unofficially visit Ohio State in March.

At 6’2” 215 lbs. Sanders is an elite three down LB that is equally effective in both run support and in coverage. Patient with his reads limiting wasted movement but flashes good reactionary quickness to locate the ball and break. He closes space in a hurry and brings heavy contact at the POA. In coverage, he does a great job reading the quarterback’s eyes to step in the throwing lane and play the ball in the air. Showed he can also make plays behind the LOS as a blitzer both on the interior and on the edge. Recruitment has been steadily on the rise since his freshman year when he was initially offered by Michigan State. Since then he’s pulled in 11 more P5 offers including top programs Michigan, Auburn, Oklahoma, Notre Dame, and most recently Washington. Fully expect the offers to keep rolling in for him as the recruiting cycle progresses.
