Mater Dei defensive lineman Montana Toilolo Montana Toilolo 6'3" | 255 lbs | DL Mater Dei | 2027 State CA announced his commitment to UCLA on Thursday.
Toilolo had 22 tackles, 4.5 for a loss, three sacks and two pass deflections last season for Mater Dei.
He also had offers from Miami, Washington, Notre Dame, Arizona and Penn State among others. Toilolo is the fourth player from California in UCLA’s 2027 recruiting class and the first defensive lineman.

Mater Dei defensive tackle Montan Toilolo picked up an offer from Penn State and got some visits from Notre Dame and Oregon this week.
Toilolo earned All-Trinity League honors last season with 22 tackles, 4.5 for a loss and two pass deflections.
He also has offers from Miami, Michigan, Tennessee and Texas Tech among others.

The Mater Dei product is one of the top edge rushers in the 2027 class across the state of California. He has the ideal frame and length for a true 4 down defensive end and has a quick first step, quickly resets the line with a violent shock and lockout and shows he can take on double teams and drive blocks without giving up ground. When pass rushing, he shows he can win with both speed and power and has natural bend around the edge while able to counter back inside when needed and is a very smart player that can play anywhere along the defensive line. Toilolo recently picked up offers from Montana, Montana State, and Colorado and will be a 15+ offer guy by the time it’s all said and done.

Mater Dei class of 2027 defensive lineman Montana Toilolo Montana Toilolo 6'3" | 255 lbs | DL Mater Dei | 2027 State CA added a major offer from Tennessee on Thursday.
Toilolo 15 tackles, five for a loss with a sack as a sophomore for the national champions this season.
He’s been racking up offers this offseason including Michigan, UCLA and Arkansas among others.

Toilolo has a terrific build already with a longer build for an inside guy, and is explosive near the LOS, locks out quickly and controls blockers with his hands well. In pass rush situations, he works angles quickly and can get to the edge while bending around blockers and is able to redirect behind the LOS. Kansas, ASU, Cal, Utah and Washington have all already offered and he should be a 20+ offer kid by the time his prep career comes to an end.

Toilolo is an athletic defensive lineman with a big legs and a frame built for adding weight.
He was the defensive line MVP at the Under Armour Next All-American camp last April and appeared in a few varsity games as a freshman.
Toilolo has offers from Washington, Cal and Utah.
