Expert Analysis
Michael Huntley | Prep Redzone Scout
Williams had 47 tackles with three interceptions including a pick-six this season for Santa Margarita.
He shuts down his half of the field and has very good closing speed to the ball. Williams has sharp instincts and can jump out-breaking routes for interceptions. He’s the best pure corner in the class in my opinion and should have a big junior year.

Recent Offer: Arkansas, Maryland
Notes: Williams is one of the top ’28 corners in the nation and put together a first season campaign in the toughest league in the country. He has all the tools and intangibles for the P4 level, and is well on his way to being a national recruit.

Williams isn’t physically dominant but was one of the best corners I saw at the event on Saturday. Nobody was able to get separation on him in man coverage and his ball skills are excellent. He has good instincts in coverage and had an interception against one of the top quarterbacks at the event early in the day.

Williams had a strong showing and he was able to smother receivers without drawing what would have been flags. His instincts are sharp and he was often able to anticipate the route the receiver was running. He was able to blanket receivers on deep balls and was deflecting a ton of passes.
