Herndon has 32 tackles, eight for a loss, 4.5 sacks and an interception for Santa Margarita this season. He is very explosive off the ball and good short-area quickness. Herndon will add some size during his career but he can already get leverage with his inside arm and drive tackles back into the pocket. His length and quickness make him a huge upside guy and it’s easy to see why Alabama, Oregon and UCLA have offered him already among others.
