Webb burst onto the scene this off-season and is a low to the ground compact runner that hits the hole hard and is a vertical back that can gain the tough yards inside when needed. He is a very smooth athlete and natural pass catcher out of the backfield with contact balance and open field speed in the clear while able to make plays after the catch as well and runs good routes, especially for his size. Webb deserves to have more attention his way and is going to be a absolute steal at the next level and is one of the more dangerous backs in all of Southern California.

Webb is one of the top returning running backs across the San Diego region and is a powerful and violent runner that gets behind his pads and is tough to take down once he gets going in the open field. He sees the field well, has cutback abilities against flow and contact balance in traffic while able to stay patient behind his blocks before finding a second level burst. Webb is a good change of pace back that is a north and south runner and has been flying under the radar up to this point and should have a breakout senior year.

Webb transferred to Carlsbad this offseason after serving as JSerra’s lead back a season ago. He’s a versatile weapon out of the backfield that totaled over 500 yards of offense and 4 total TDs and showed his receiving skillset recording 20 catches on the season. He’s a strong, physical athlete at 5’10″/200 with a well-developed frame and great foot speed and agility to his skillset. He’s a nuanced receiver for the RB position that can create separation as a route runner and possesses quality hands/ball skills. Webb should be a high impact transfer for the Carlsbad offense this season.
