Sorensen is one of the more complete and balanced tight end prospects in the country, and has had one of the busiest off-seasons of any prospect in Southern California. He has racked up nearly 25 offers up to this point, and has a recent crystal ball prediction to USC per 247-Sports. The 4-star prospect is a physical pass catcher that can stretch the field, has a huge catch radius and is a smooth route runner that creates separation downfield and makes contested catches with ease. In the run game, he is an elite level blocker that gets immediate vertical push and shows he can finish blocks in space and block both first and second level defenders with nasty intentions. Sorensen is extremely versatile and lines up anywhere from in the backfield, slot or attached on the line.

Sorensen has been skyrocketing up recruiting boards recently and made the largest jump of any 2026 prospect in the updated PRZ state rankings. He’s a solid 6’4” 230 lbs. with natural athleticism, bend, and speed. Possesses the frame and skillset to handle both the physicality of the LOS as a blocker and the movement skills to be an effective receiver in the passing game. Attacks the short and intermediate levels of the field as a pass catcher but turns those into big gains with his combination of speed and power after the catch. Great ability to engage and drive defenders off the ball in the running game, he’s balanced at the POA and shows strength sustaining and finishing his blockers. Developing into a national recruit with recent offers from Ole Miss, Missouri, Michigan State, Florida, and Wisconsin.
7 Offers: Cal, Boston College, Wisconsin, Florida, Michigan State, Missouri, Ole Miss

Sorensen was arguably the most physically impressive player at the camp. His size and speed creates mismatches at the tight end spot and it’s easy to see why a school like Florida has offered him.

Sorensen may project as a defensive end at the next level but most of his film is at tight end or special teams.
As a tight end, he is a solid blocker who knows how to use his opponent’s leverage against them. He gets off the ball quickly and has a solid initial punch, skills he can use as a defensive end as well.
Sorensen needs to spend a lot of time in the weight room this offseason, but he knows that and has a solid foundation.
