Tall, long-limbed outside receiver with prototype size/speed combo — 6’0”, 180 lbs and already running sub-10.6 100m and low-21 200m as a sophomore. He has good body control, strong hands at the catch point, and the ability to win contested 50/50 balls or take the top off coverage. Emerging as a deep threat and red-zone weapon; you see the track explosion in his release off the line and ability to separate in a flash. Still raw route-wise and needs to get stronger at the point of attack, but the frame, speed (10.5-10.7 range), and competitive toughness are exactly what college teams chase in boundary X receivers. High-motor kid who blocks and competes. Grade: Rising ATH/WR with classic two-sport upside, developmental starter trajectory who could climb fast.
Pelovello earned MVP honors among the wide receiver group with the high-upside athleticism and overall skillset he showed on Sunday. The 5’11″/175 sophomore out of Servite showed his track-level speed clocking a 4.68s in the 40 and proved to be a tough matchup in the 1v1 period with the speed and quickness he brings to the table. He’s a smooth runner, accelerates and hits a second gear with ease, and showed impressive hands and body control at the catch point. Pelovello will be a player to monitor as he continues to develop and gain experience/reps.
Pelovello is a speedy athlete that showed his ability to separate from defensive backs in 1-on-1s. He has lightning quick feet and is explosive out of his breaks as a route runner. Pelovello was one of the better overall athletes at the camp.
Pelovello had 161 yards with a touchdown as a sophomore for Servite this season.
He’s part of that elite track group at Servite that has a ton of potential on the football field. Pelovello just ran a 6.85 in the 60 meters during outdoor track season which is tied for the highest in the nation.
