Mater Dei interior defensive lineman Tomuhini Topui Tomuhini Topui 6'4" | 320 lbs | DL Mater Dei | 2026 State CA announced his commitment to USC on Tuesday.

Topui recently withdrew his commitment from Oregon and flipped to USC. He is a very good nose tackle who eats up double teams and has the tools to play early at USC.

Topui had 42 tackles, 10.5 for a loss, 6.5 sacks, one interception and a forced fumble for national champion Mater Dei this season. He was named the Trinity League Player of the Year.

He is one of six defensive linemen in USC’s 2026 recruiting class.

Topui was eating up double teams on the interior and was in the backfield very often. He has a ton of power and is very quick for a guy his size.

Montana Toilolo Montana Toilolo 6'3" | 255 lbs | DL Mater Dei | 2027 State CA also played well in the interior and made some nice plays.

Topui and teammate Semi Taulanga Semi Taulanga 6'1" | 295 lbs | DL Mater Dei | 2025 State CA are the best tandem of interior pass rushers in the state.

Mater Dei will play Servite or Sierra Canyon in the quarter finals and possible Mission Viejo in the semi finals. He should be able to attack all of those teams’ interior offensive lines and cause trouble.
