Mater Dei running back Justin Lewis Justin Lewis 5'10" | 195 lbs | RB Mater Dei | 2026 State CA announced his commitment to UMass on July 30.

Lewis ran for 1306 yards with 15 touchdowns for Thousand Oaks last season and has since transferred to Mater Dei.

He also had offers from Cornell, Montana, Northern Arizona and Penn among others. Lewis is the first player from California in UMass’ 2026 recruiting class and the second running back.

Lewis ran for 1306 yards and 15 touchdowns for Thousand Oaks last season and has since transferred to Mater Dei.

He had a nice showing at the Under Armour Next camp and showed quick feet and a nice jump cut through the drills. On film, he’s a patient runner with good short-area quickness and some burst after he breaks through the second level. His field vision is very good and is a threat in the passing game. Lewis has offers from UMass, Georgetown, Montana, Penn and Air Force among others.
