Expert Analysis

The Texas A&M commit has ideal size and length for today’s CB. Raylaun is a lock down player who can take a teams top WR out of the game. Most QBs don’t even throw his way which is he was only targeted 33 times all season.
With smooth fluid hips and sound technique, Raylaun is able to play shutdown press coverage. He is physical enough to engage at the LOS and get receivers off their timing. As well as using his length, ball skills, and great timing to get PBUs consistently. A complete CB who is primed to contribute at the next level lead to Raylaun making a small jump from preseason rankings into the top 5 and the #1 overall DB.

Henry put on a top-tier clinic in pass coverage. He had one of the most active nights on defense with at least three pass-breakups, four tackles, and a third-down stop. He was rock solid as a pass defender. He broke up passes on slants, go routes down the sidelines, and in the red zone. Simply put: he shut down half the field. I’m not even sure why they continued to throw to his side despite having success in doing so.

last month, and it’s easy to see why he’s one of the most highly sought-after prospects in the DMV. Standing at 6-foot-2 with an enormous wingspan, he’s a defensive back coach’s dream. Henry’s length allows him to excel in press coverage, where he disrupts routes, contests passes, and recovers quickly. Raylaun is also willing to get physical against the run, providing solid support on the perimeter. As he continues to develop, adding weight to his frame will make Henry even more dominant at the high school level.

It was a tough decision for the #1 spot and I want to say it is really a 1A and 1B between Raylaun and Layton at the top of these rankings. He film is a joy to watch with his impressive technique for the position. Raylaun is a prototype CB in today’s game, tall at 6’2″ already, excellent length, and some of the best hips I’ve seen for someone that young.
Raylaun is extremely smooth and fluid in his backpedal and overall movements at the corner position. He can mirror shuffle, exceptional at staying in phase with the receiver and riding their hip, and shows excellent ball skills. A very physical corner as well, Raylaun has a strong jam keeping great positioning and balance while jamming and riding the WR. He uses the sideline to his advantage as well, running the receiver of his route and out of the ball. Raylaun shows great instincts, quick to react and break on the ball to make the play.
An elite man-to-man CB who can bump and run and lock down receivers already as just a freshman. He has a top tier size/skill set for his position, and already holds double digit Power 4 offers. Raylaun is a 5 star National Recruit already in my mind and will battle for the #1 spot in these class rankings at every update.

The first thing that catches your eye about Henry is his size at 6ft’ 3in tall. Even with a long frame he still hands the hands and feet to be dominant. He is lights out in man coverage and shows aggression and physicality in pressman. His long arms allow him to reach around receivers and bat the ball away. We’ll keep a close eye on Henry as he develops and fills out his frame, this prospect has a high ceiling. Last time we covered Henry he had a few offers including Boston College and UNC-Charolette, since then he’s landed a few big-time programs such as Michigan, Oregon, and Penn State.

Henry is an impressive DB prospect at St. Frances. He has great size, already at 6’2, he’ll be able to compete with taller receivers on the varsity level. He’s transitioning from a competitive Maryland Heat 14U team, plying against some of the best competition in the country. The SFA program will help develop Henry into a top DB recruit, as they have with many current Panthers DB’s. Henry already has a few offers including Boston College, UNC Charolette, Michigan, and Maryland. During his 14U year he showed that he can defend the deep ball and create turnovers. His length gives him an advantage when high pointing the ball for an interception or deflection. In the run game he comes down hill fast and physical.
