Love how this kid moves and attacks the ball carrier/QB. He has great pursuit angles coming off the edge. Also has the COD and athleticism to recover, didn’t see him get caught over pursuing once. Would be great defending RPO QBs. Just a great combination of fundamentals, burst, explosion, and recovery. Kid is definitely born to play edge. COD, range, short area quickness, and motor are fantastic. Has had good coaching and training and will continue to develop. The more I watched his film, the more I liked it. Great twitch coming off the edge, great COD, good hands, good physicality. True edge setter. Reminds me of former UVA/NFL standout Chris long in terms of straight line speed, motor, and COD. Disruptive force, who can play within a scheme. Want to track how big he gets, but he will definitely be strong and maximize abilities. Is currently 6’2 205, C/O 2030. Kid is strong and can press linemen off him. Type of kid with signature highlights. Looks like a FBS talent as an 8th grader. Already has early offer from Syracuse, and named Under Armor All American.

The younger brother of Offensive Line MVP Benjamin Havunen Benjamin Havunen 6'2" | 275 lbs | OL St. Frances Academy | 2028 MD , Adam Havunen Adam Havunen 5'11" | 175 lbs | LB/EDGE VA showed me a lot. Between dad, older brother and himself, it’s easy to see that strength is a big plus while looking at him. As a pass-rushing defensive end, he did a good job of using his hands to swat down/past offensive tackles that over-extended their arms during a pass-block set. Right now he moves a little robotically and needs to improve his flexibility to become a more effective pass-rusher. You can see why he’s thought of as a must-see 2029 prospect in Virginia, given his upside and the physical traits he already possesses.
