was one of the best players on site. A true lockdown corner Butler ranks 49th overall and 5 for his position in the Maryland 2027 class. Elite ball skills and excellent footwork, you will see him playing on Saturdays by next year.

wasted no time showcasing his athleticism and ball skills this season, making a highlight-reel interception to prevent a touchdown. Butler brings rare versatility to the secondary, he has the range to play either safety spot, while also possessing the physicality and fluidity to press slot receivers in man coverage. On offense, he’s beginning to emerge as a reliable target, flashing strong hands-on intermediate routes and creating yards after the catch. Butler’s move to a new program will test him against a higher level of competition, and his decision to reclassify to the class of 2027 provides valuable developmental time. With his two-way impact and advanced skill set, Butler is already showing flashes of dominance that project well at the next level.

Elijah is a player who I cant’t believe doesn’t have more offers so far, as he was a big time performer at the showcase. He has has great size & length for the position, measuring in at 6’1 1/2″ 173lbs and had the top SBJ of the whole camp with a 10’0″ – which is a very strong number for a high school DB. Elijah showed off quick hips and the ability to plant and drive from multiple angles. Rangy, with a long stride, Elijah covers a lot of ground and shows good balls skills, able to track it and go get it. He is a physical DB, strong in press coverage and able to bump WRs off their route. He is best as a S and he checks a lot of boxes for that spot with his size, length, athleticism, and ball hawk ability. Currently holding an offer from Sacramento State, Elijah should easily pick up some FCS level offers this summer.
Had a great showcase with 10 pass break ups and 1 interception yesterday at the @NPShowcases thank you @NPCoachZim for the invite pic.twitter.com/UkHPNB2DO6

One of DimeU’s more notable prospects, this among a crop of great 2026s and 2027s.
6’2, 170 pounds, can and does double as a wideout and DB for Bowie HS. 2.5 GPA currently, as reported via Twitter. Picked up his first offer out of Sacramento State this past week, a huge moment, one we’d love to dig deeper into via interview. Butler is apparently dominating as a Triple Jumper, all while coming off a junior campaign that saw him lead all of Maryland in total interceptions (9 via MaxPreps). One would figure Butler would impress as a pass-catcher in this environment, yet all passes caught will likely serve as icing on the cake to his defensive prowess. Expecting him to work at safety in this one.
Had a great year this year, can’t wait for my senior season coming up, I will be back and better.@BowieHighFB @CoachBost @MaxPreps @MarylandHigh https://t.co/q8MIcA0ZMc

Elijah comes into the rankings as the #27 ranked DB in what is a loaded DB group and leads to him still being as high as #116 overall. He was a do it all player for Bowie this past year, making plays along all 3 phases of the game but I see him best as a FS for the next level.
He is a long limbed, rangy, playmaking ball hawk. As proven by his 10 Ints on the year. Nice overall athlete, he makes plays as WR, DB, and returner. Smooth runner with a controlled stride and fluid responsive hips. He’s a track kid as well who high jumps and triple jumps. You can see that skill set on his film as he shows great body control and ball skills, going up to get it and put himself in position to make the play. Elijah plays with nice burst/acceleration, can cover a lot of ground and I am interested to see what he runs this summer.
I think Elijah will be a player that has a chance to move himself up these rankings in the future. As he continues to develop, fill out his frame and with a good summer camp season – college coaches are going to take notice.

Butler has developed into a two-way weapon for Bowie and is rising to the top in the perfect manner. Butler is a player that I had the chance to evaluate back in 2022 at 8th grade FBU Maryland All-Star practice. Even back then I could see the skill and potential in his game. Butler has burst onto the varsity scene with 9 total interceptions with 164 INT return yards. He’s rangy, he reads the QB from center field and closes on the ball quickly. When the ball is in the air it’s another day in the park for Butler, he uses his ball skills from playing receiver to come down with interceptions. Butler recorded 500+ all-purpose yards and scored 5 TD’s.

Butler is one of the players in this class that I had the opportunity to see play on last year’s FBU Maryland Metro team. He’s an aggressive athlete with impressive jump ball skills. He had a handful of deflections from center field at safety and a couple forced fumbles. Butler is on the radar to have a breakout season as he settles into the high school level.

Butler is a long safety who can fly sideline to sideline to support the run game. He showcases good ball skills on offense as a deep ball threat. It could go either way for Butler he has the height to play receiver or safety at the next level.
