Jamar Allen Jamar Allen 6'1" | 300 lbs | DL St. Frances Academy | 2027 State MD is an interior defensive lineman who blends functional strength with surprising quickness. At the point of attack, he consistently wins leverage, getting underneath blockers’ pads and locking out his arms to control the line of scrimmage. His ability to create separation allows him to locate the football and disengage cleanly.
Allen flashes better lateral mobility than expected for his build, showing the range to pursue run plays down the line and chase ball carriers outside the tackles. He projects as a disruptive run-stopping defensive tackle who can anchor down, while also collapsing the pocket from the interior. His presence alone makes it difficult for offenses to establish a consistent inside run game.
Allen currently holds Division I offers from University of Connecticut, Temple University, and Robert Morris University, and his combination of physicality and developmental upside should continue to draw attention as his recruitment progresses.

Making the move from North Hills to Aliquippia, Allen is now listed at 6-foot-1 and 330-pounds and he is every bit of that frame. That being said, despite the size, Allen was still able to move rather well with a rather low center of gravity and decently quick feets. He definitely has some agility to his game and there’s a lot to like about his potential. Ultimately, his height may dictate what his ceiling is from a recruitment standpoint. He picked up an offer from Robert Morris just a few days after the showcase.

Allen was offered his first scholarship from the D1 FBS Temple Owls today. Jamar has the size at 6’2, 280 lbs, great bend, and strength mixed with nastiness for the interior D-Line. He plays with a low center of gravity, which allows him to generate power, shocking offensive linemen. He’s very stout and very difficult to move in the run game. He’s violent and regularly gets TFLs on inside rushes. His agility and motor are good, especially being a prospect of his size. He’s an effective pass rusher, frequently creating pressure from the interior. His strength is apparent when watching him engage and disengage offensive linemen. I previously wrote an article highlighting Allen as a prospect to watch in 2026, and he’s still on the watchlist.
