During the season, I felt there was no way that Van Norden wouldn’t blow up this offseason. A few months later, my thoughts were correct. He picked up his latest offer from Florida on Wednesday. He picked up an offer from Rutgers late last week (March 12th). According to his latest tweet, he has up to 19 offers. Van Norden has also locked in official visit dates for Michigan State (June 5th – June 7th) and Ole Miss (June 11th-June 13th).

Cain comes to McNamara after spending last season at Nuemann Gorretti up in Philadelphia PA. A big body kid at 6’7″ 265lbs. and self reported 84″ wingspan, he looks every bit the part of the hoof of a Power 4 kid. Mainly playing TE/DE in his past, Cain looks to continue that role at BM this season, as well as some H-back style work. I think he will over time this season and in the future shift towards being an OT. He has gained roughly 20lbs+ since last season and has the frame to carry 300lbs+ easily and still move the way he does. Still new to the game, basketball player, he runs well and uses his size to his advantage. He already holds a handful of offers and as Cain develops his game further, expect him to become a serious problem for opponents.
Next two-sport athlete up for us @NGSaintsHoops is 6’7” 2027 F Cain Van Norden (@CainV41608). A two-way player at TE & DE for our football program and will be a nice piece in our frontcourt come the winter. pic.twitter.com/TaEGhwXzdP
