is a stand-up defensive end who does a great job of stopping plays before they develop. He consistently makes plays in the backfield, whether it’s tackles for loss, sacks, or strip sacks. Taylor is currently considered the No. 1 EDGE rusher in Baltimore. Last month in December, he narrowed his offer list down to six schools: Texas A&M University, University of Georgia, Auburn University, University of Michigan, University of Maryland, and University of Tennessee.

One more top edge defender to round of the top 10, Alexander shines as a pass rush specialist. He is a rocket off the snap, with a quick first step / burst to blow past OTs. Able to play out of a 3point stance or as a stand up, he is a true versatile edge playmaker. One of his top traits is that he is a high motor player. Alexander gets up to full speed in an instant and will scrape/chase down the ball. With fluid/ twitchy hips, he is able to set the edge & has the ability to re-direct quickly. Taylor also will lay a hit on the ball carrier or QB as he comes downhill at a 100mph looking to cause damage.
That intense play style to go along with great size/strength is why Alexander’s top 6 is filled with the likes of Georgia, Michigan, Texas A&M and UMD. Taylor is a consistent top 10 performer in these rankings and I expect him to continue that level of play going forward.

Another strong edge rusher in this 2027 class that is loaded at that spot, Alexander brings nice size, strength and athleticism. It makes sense he would be a top 10 player in the class as he already holds double digit Power 4 offers.
Alexander has exceptional explosiveness off the edge, is a missile to the ball. That is backed up by a reported 4.69 laser 40 which is elite for his position. A great motor that never quits, Alexander is always around the ball and can get sideline to sideline chasing down QBs & RBs. He uses a quick first step to get blockers off balance and follows up with active hands to get past them. A twitchy athlete, Alexander has great hips to set the edge and keep the play from getting outside of him. He also has the strength and leverage to hold his ground before scrapping off blockers to make the tackle. Making him equally as effective in run support as pass rush that could lead to him being able to move around as a DL and be a very versatile player for defensive coordinators at the next level.

I was very impressed with Alexander’s film and I can not wait to get eyes on him this fall. He possesses good size for his age at 6’3″ and a lean 245, can easily get to 260+ be yoked up and keep his athleticism.
He is a rocket off the edge in his pass rush. Quick first step and burst and can do so out of a 3point or standing up. A high motor player, Alex gets up to full speed in an instant and will scrape/chase down the ball. What I liked most about Alexander and what earned him this position in the rankings is his fluid hips. He is able to set the edge & hold contain with his twitch and ability to re-direct quickly. Able to turn down the line and go or use his COD speed to keep ball carries from getting around him, making him strong in run support. Along with his ability to bend the edge in a pure pass rush he is a do it all DE.
Depending on how much he grows and develops could determine if he says as an edge DE or slides inside some as an interior rush DL. Regardless of where on the DL he plays he is a force to deal with and colleges have taken notice as he currently holds four Power 4 offers.
