After a thoughtful review of the 2025 season, I am excited to announce the Prep Redzone 2025 All-State Team with a long list of honorable mentions. The 2025 season was one for the books as we crowned new champions in four of the seven classifications in Nebraska (B- Waverly, C2- Bishop Neumann, D2- Wynot, and D6- Garden County) and saw three teams accomplish back-to-back championships (A- Millard South, C1- Wahoo, and D1- Sandy Creek). This season also featured arguably the most decorated and highly recruited senior classes in state history. As always, this is not an easy task given the state's talent pool, and I consider several factors, not just statistics or recruitment status.   I am glad to announce the Prep Redzone Nebraska All-State First and Second Teams.   Below are the selections for the first- and second-team offense.   <hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity" />   First-Team:   Quarterback:   [player_tooltip player_id='476963' first='Jett' last='Thomalla'], 2026 - Millard South - Alabama Signee - <a href="https://x.com/JettThomalla" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">(@JettThomalla)</a>   <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>Millard South's [player_tooltip player_id='476963' first='Jett' last='Thomalla'] closed the book on arguably one of the top prep careers in state history with back-to-back state championships, 10,000+ passing yards, and 134 passing touchdowns (6 rush). The Alabama-bound QB recorded 3,484 passing yards, 58 passing touchdowns, three rushing touchdowns, and a 146.4 QBR while completing 72% of his passes.</li> </ul>   Running backs:   [player_tooltip player_id='1217729' first='Kip' last='Brigham'], 2026 - Wahoo - Nebraska-Kearney Commit - <a href="https://x.com/KipBrigham32" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">(@KipBrigham32)</a>   <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>Continuing the trend of all-time careers, Wahoo's [player_tooltip player_id='1217729' first='Kip' last='Brigham'] continued his dominant run, helping the Warriors secure back-to-back C1 championships. Brigham saved his best for last as he rumbled for 2,657 rushing yards and a whopping 47 touchdowns with an additional 23 receptions for 329 yards and five touchdowns. Kip etched his name in Class C1 history with over 5,100+ rushing yards and 90 rushing touchdowns through his career. Kip is committed to Nebraska-Kearney. </li> </ul>   [player_tooltip player_id='1085158' first='TayTay' last='Jenkins'], 2027 - Omaha Westside - 5'8" 175 lbs - <a href="https://x.com/TayTayjenkins_" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">(@TayTayjenkins_)</a>   <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>Omaha Westside's [player_tooltip player_id='1085158' first='TayTay' last='Jenkins'] is about as electric a player as you'll find in the state. The Warrior's junior had another tremendous season, continuing to prove his value not just as a runner but also as a receiving target. Jenkins carried the ball 214 times for 1,866 yards and 28 touchdowns while also recording 17 receptions for 329 yards and three touchdowns. </li> </ul>   [player_tooltip player_id='488222' first='Nathan' last='Axmann'], 2026 - Waverly - Wayne State Commit - <a href="https://x.com/NAxmann" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">(@NAxmann)</a>   <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>Waverly's [player_tooltip player_id='488222' first='Nathan' last='Axmann'] seemed to answer the bell time and time again as he helped the Vikings claim their first state championship since 1980. Axmann toted the rock 339 times for 2,0123 rushing yards and 28 touchdowns. He also recorded an additional 19 receptions, 320 receiving yards, two receiving touchdowns, and a passing touchdown. Axmann has committed to the Wayne State Wildcats.</li> </ul>   Wide Receivers:   [player_tooltip player_id='487568' first='Amarion' last='Jackson'], 2026 - Millard South - 6'2" 185 lbs - <a href="https://x.com/AjJackson_21" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">(@AjJackson_21)</a>   <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>It's hard to think of a week in which Millard South's [player_tooltip player_id='487568' first='Amarion' last='Jackson'] wasn't giving us highlight reel plays this season. Amarion gave us arguably the best season of his prolific career in 2025 as he hauled in 50 catches, 966 yards, 16 touchdowns, two TFLs, an interception, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery, and a punt return TD. Jackson ends his prep career as one of the state's all-time great receivers with 180+ catches, 3,300+ receiving yards, and 40 receiving touchdowns throughout his career.</li> </ul>   [player_tooltip player_id='1085136' first='Bryce' last='Johnson Jr'], 2027 - Bellevue West - 6'0" 180 lbs - <a href="https://x.com/BryceJohnson311" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">(@BryceJohnson311)</a>   <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>Bellevue West's Bryce James Jr put his name on the map after ending the season as the Class A receiving yards leader. Bryce emerged as the Thunderbird's top receiver as he caught 43 passes for 974 yards and nine receiving touchdowns. </li> </ul>   [player_tooltip player_id='1429588' first='Bryce' last='Lakers'], 2026 - Gretna - Nebraska-Kearney commit - <a href="https://x.com/BryceLakers15" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">(@BryceLakers15)</a>   <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>Gretna's [player_tooltip player_id='1429588' first='Bryce' last='Lakers'] had a tremendous senior campaign, finishing as the state's receiving yards leader. Bryce was constantly getting open on crucial downs and was reliable at moving the chains, resulting in 79 catches for 1,284 yards and 12 touchdowns. Bryce is committed to the UNK Lopers. </li> </ul>   [player_tooltip player_id='1815128' first='Cal' last='Kissinger'], 2026 - Ashland-Greenwood - Concordia basketball commit - <a href="https://x.com/cal_kissinger" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">(@cal_kissinger)</a>   <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>Ashland-Greenwood's [player_tooltip player_id='1815128' first='Cal' last='Kissinger'] took a massive leap in 2025 as he emerged as one of the top playmakers in Class C1. Kissinger was the top target in a high-flying offense that resulted in 68 catches for 1,198 yards and 10 receiving touchdowns. Cal is committed to the Concordia Bulldogs for basketball. </li> </ul>   Tight Ends:   [player_tooltip player_id='487573' first='Isaac' last='Jensen'], 2026 - Millard South - Mizzou signee - <a href="https://x.com/Isaacjensen_11" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">(@Isaacjensen_11)</a>   <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>Millard South's [player_tooltip player_id='487573' first='Isaac' last='Jensen'] was once again a key part of the Patriots' explosive offense, bringing elite hands in the passing game and a mean streak as a blocker in the run game. Jensen ended his senior season with 34 catches for 658 yards and 14 touchdowns. Isaac has signed with the Missouri Tigers.</li> </ul>   [player_tooltip player_id='487608' first='Dallas' last='Gaius-Anyaegbu'], 2026 - Millard South - Fresno State signee - <a href="https://x.com/DallasGaius" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">(@DallasGaius)</a>   <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>Millard South goes 2/2 in the TE spot as they featured one of the most feared duos you'll see come out of Nebraska. [player_tooltip player_id='487608' first='Dallas' last='Gaius-Anyaegbu'] was a constant presence against opposing defenses as he proved he can be a deep-ball threat or a reliable chain-mover with 35 catches for 467 receiving yards and seven receiving touchdowns. Dallas has signed with the Fresno State Bulldogs. </li> </ul>   Offensive Tackles:   [player_tooltip player_id='402157' first='Landen' last='Von Seggern'], 2026 - Millard South - Illinois signee - <a href="https://x.com/landen_seggern" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">(@landen_seggern)</a>   <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>Millard South's [player_tooltip player_id='402157' first='Landen' last='Von Seggern'] emerged as one of the top tackles in the state as a sophomore and never gave up that title. Von Seggern was a stonewall who did an excellent job protecting his All-State QB's blind side and was one of the main aggressors in establishing the run. Landen has signed with the Illinois Fighting Illini.</li> </ul>   [player_tooltip player_id='1617346' first='Leighton' last='Burbach'], 2026 - Norfolk Catholic - Northwestern signee - <a href="https://x.com/LeightonBurbs" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">(@LeightonBurbs)</a>   <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>Norfolk Catholic's [player_tooltip player_id='1617346' first='Leighton' last='Burbach'] is a super athletic and lengthy offensive lineman who has helped lead the Knights to one of their more successful stretches. With Burbach leading the charge in the trenches, the Knights were able to average over 185 yards per carry and 20 touchdowns on the ground. </li> </ul>   Offensive Guards:   [player_tooltip player_id='487559' first='Owen' last='James'], 2026 - Omaha Westside - Northwest Missouri State Commit - <a href="https://x.com/OwenJames65" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">(@OwenJames65)</a>   <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>Westside's [player_tooltip player_id='487559' first='Owen' last='James'] is a longtime starter for the Warriors, bringing valuable experience and strong consistency to the physical offensive line. Owen's efforts in the trenches allowed the Warriors to throw for 1,800+ yards and rush for 2,400+ yards. Owen is committed to the Northwest Missouri State Bearcats.</li> </ul>   [player_tooltip player_id='1113979' first='Aubrey' last='Ross Jr'], 2026 - Omaha Central - 6'3" 285 lbs -   <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>Omaha Central's [player_tooltip player_id='1113979' first='Aubrey' last='Ross Jr'] is an underrated offensive lineman with the versatility to play tackle or guard, but looks the most comfortable at guard. He is a physical blocker who loves to get after it as a run-blocker, helping lead the way to 1,400 team rushing yards in 2025. </li> </ul>   Center:   [player_tooltip player_id='487602' first='Carter' last='Glab'], 2026 - Millard South - Army signee - <a href="https://x.com/Cglab5" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">(@Cglab5)</a>   <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>Like his fellow linemate (Von Seggern), Carter established himself early as one of the best in his position and has been incredibly consistent since becoming a starter for Millard South. Carter was the anchor for an offensive line that paved the way for a 3,900+ passing yard and 1,700+ rushing yard season. Carter has signed with Army West Point.</li> </ul>   Athlete:   [player_tooltip player_id='1114432' first='Tyrell' last='Chatman'], 2026 - Lincoln North Star - Penn State commit - <a href="https://x.com/Tyrell_C_" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">(@Tyrell_C_)</a>   <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>Lincoln North Star's [player_tooltip player_id='1114432' first='Tyrell' last='Chatman'] is as versatile as they come after playing the roles of passer, runner, receiver, and defender. Chatman recorded 526 passing yards, 459 rushing yards, 160 receiving yards, six passing touchdowns, seven rushing touchdowns, two receiving touchdowns, 30 tackles, and 14 passes defended. Tyrell has been released from his previous signing with Iowa State and has committed to Penn State. </li> </ul>   [player_tooltip player_id='1590722' first='Kamerin' last='Sealey'], 2028 - Sandy Creek - 6'0" 175 lbs - <a href="https://x.com/Kamerinallan09" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">(@Kamerinallan09)</a>   <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>Sandy Creek's [player_tooltip player_id='1590722' first='Kamerin' last='Sealey'] stepped into some big shoes going into his sophomore season and more than delivered by helping the Cougars win back-to-back Class D1 championships. Kamerin did it all for the Cougars as the starting QB with 2,439 passing yards, 1,781 rushing yards, 36 passing touchdowns, 38 rushing touchdowns, and a 71% completion rate. Sealey also contributed 68 tackles, two TFLs, two interceptions, and a fumble recovery on defense.</li> </ul>   [player_tooltip player_id='488106' first='Gage' last='Hedstrom'], 2026 - St. Mary's - 6'0" 180 lbs - <a href="https://x.com/Gage_Hedstrom" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">(@Gage_Hedstrom)</a>   <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>St. Mary's [player_tooltip player_id='488106' first='Gage' last='Hedstrom'] is fresh off a season in which he put up numbers that could rival some players' careers. Hedtrom threw for 2,311 yards, rushed for 1,855 yards, and a whopping 94 total touchdowns (46 passing & 38 rushing). Hedstrom also posted 125 tackles, seven TFLs, six interceptions (one return TD), two forced fumbles, and a fumble recovery, two punt return TDs, and two kickoff return TDs.</li> </ul>   Kicker:   [player_tooltip player_id='1631270' first='Dave' last='Fajardo'], 2026 - Millard South - Wayne State commit - <a href="https://x.com/Davefajardo_31" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">(@Davefajardo_31)</a>   <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>Millard South's [player_tooltip player_id='1631270' first='Dave' last='Fajardo'] finished as one of the highest-scoring kickers in the country as he reaped the rewards of a record-setting Patriot offense. Fajardo converted 101 of 103 PATs and five of six field goal attempts. Dave has announced his commitment to Wayne State.</li> </ul>   Punter:   [player_tooltip player_id='2088295' first='Reid' last='Meves'], 2027 - Lincoln East - 5'10" 175 lbs - <a href="https://x.com/reidmeves9" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">(@reidmeves9) </a>   <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>Lincoln East punter [player_tooltip player_id='2088295' first='Reid' last='Meves'] emerged as one of the elite punters in the state after averaging 36.8 yards per punt and downing 15 of them inside the 20.</li> </ul>   Long Snapper:   [player_tooltip player_id='1217252' first='Sam' last='Dolphens'], 2026 - Papillion-La Vista South - Kansas State Commit - <a href="https://x.com/DolphensSam" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">(@DolphensSam)</a>   Second-Team:   Quarterback:   [player_tooltip player_id='402158' first='Michael' last='Knudsen'], 2026 - Gretna - Northwest Missouri State commit - <a href="https://x.com/mike_knudsen31" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">(@mike_knudsen31)</a>   <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>Gretna [player_tooltip player_id='402158' first='Michael' last='Knudsen'] topped an already highly-productive junior season by finishing his as the state's passing leader in his senior campaign. Knudsen completed 66% of his passes for 3,690 yards and 34 touchdowns, while also showing what he can do on the ground with 302 rushing yards and five touchdowns. Michael is committed to Northwest Missouri State.</li> </ul>   Running backs:   [player_tooltip player_id='488108' first='Jaydon' last='Sutko'], 2026 - Elkhorn South - Fresno State signee - <a href="https://x.com/JaydonSutko" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">(@JaydonSutko)</a>   <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>Elkhorn South's [player_tooltip player_id='488108' first='Jaydon' last='Sutko'] showed the damage he can do on the field when 100%. Sutko exploded for 1,568 rushing yards and 20 rushing touchdowns on 204 carries, along with 121 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Jaydon has signed with the Fresno State Bulldogs. </li> </ul>   [player_tooltip player_id='487804' first='Jaron' last='Cannon Jr'], 2026 - Omaha North - Northwest Missouri State commit - <a href="https://x.com/JaronCannonJr" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">(@JaronCannonJr)</a>   <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>Omaha North's [player_tooltip player_id='487804' first='Jaron' last='Cannon Jr'] made it three consecutive seasons of recording at least 1,200+ rushing yards and 15+ touchdowns. Cannon had his most productive season yet, despite recording his lowest number of carries with 158 totes for 1,626 rushing yards and 21 touchdowns. Jaron is committed to Northwest Missouri State.</li> </ul>   [player_tooltip player_id='1075660' first='Connor' last='Sams'], 2026 - Gretna East - Air Force Commit - <a href="https://x.com/ConnorSams7" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">(@ConnorSams7)</a>   <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>Gretna East [player_tooltip player_id='1075660' first='Connor' last='Sams'] balled out as he helped the Griffins reach their first state championship appearance in their young program's history. Sams further extended his school career rushing record by putting up 2,193 yards and 25 touchdowns on 239 carries. Connor is committed to Air Force.</li> </ul>   Wide Receivers:   [player_tooltip player_id='795471' first='Jack' last='Poppe'], 2026 - Doniphan-Trumbull - 6'1" 175 lbs - <a href="https://x.com/jackpoppe1" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">(@jackpoppe1)</a>   <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>Doniphan-Trumbull's [player_tooltip player_id='795471' first='Jack' last='Poppe'] was less than 100 receiving yards away from pulling off a rare receiving triple crown in the state. Poppe led the state in receptions (94) and tied for the most receiving TDs (16), while racking up 1,193 receiving yards. Poppe is one of the top available seniors in the '26 recruiting cycle. </li> </ul>   [player_tooltip player_id='1114855' first='Wyatt' last='Dent'], 2026 - Central City - 6'1" 175 lbs - <a href="https://x.com/Wyatt_Dent13" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">(@Wyatt_Dent13)</a>   <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>Central City WR [player_tooltip player_id='1114855' first='Wyatt' last='Dent'] has been one of the top receivers in Class C2 since his sophomore season and has now posted back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons to close out his prep career. Dent caught 50 passes for 1,025 yards and 14 touchdowns. </li> </ul>   [player_tooltip player_id='1115008' first='Connor' last='Haney'], 2026 - Grand Island Central Catholic - 6'2" 185 lbs - <a href="https://x.com/connor__haney" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">(@connor__haney)</a>   <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>Grand Island Central Catholic's [player_tooltip player_id='1115008' first='Connor' last='Haney'] was a key player in the Crusaders' exceptional season, which culminated in a trip to the state championship. Haney was super productive in his senior campaign, recording 42 receptions, 937 receiving yards, and 12 touchdowns. </li> </ul>   Tight Ends:   [player_tooltip player_id='1217776' first='Nolan' last='Asher'], 2026 - DC West - Colorado School of Mines - <a href="https://x.com/NolanAsher13" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">(@NolanAsher13)</a>   <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>DC West's [player_tooltip player_id='1217776' first='Nolan' last='Asher'] has flown somewhat under the radar despite consistent production throughout his career. Asher posted 30 receptions for 440 yards and four receiving touchdowns during his senior season. Nolan has committed to Colorado School of Mines.</li> </ul>   [player_tooltip player_id='1114861' first='Eli' last='Shada'], 2026 - Wahoo - Wichita State T&F Commit - <a href="https://x.com/elishada1234" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">(@elishada1234)</a>   <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>Wahoo's [player_tooltip player_id='1114861' first='Eli' last='Shada'] is the type of gritty tight end that you love to have on your side and hate to line up against. Shada led the C1 champions in receiving yards with 437 yards and nine touchdowns on only 17 catches, averaging an impressive 25.7 yards per catch. Eli has signed with Wichita State to compete in track and Field. </li> </ul>   [player_tooltip player_id='488221' first='Brady' last='Schieffer'], 2026 - Waverly - Wayne State Commit - <a href="https://x.com/bschieffer12" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">(@bschieffer12)</a>   <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>Waverly's [player_tooltip player_id='488221' first='Brady' last='Schieffer'] proved to be an underrated aspect of the Vikings' passing attack, using his size and athleticism to dominate opposing defenders. Schieffer hauled in 17 catches for 357 yards and eight touchdowns, as he helped the Vikings capture the Class B title. Brady has committed to the Wayne State Wildcats. </li> </ul>   Offensive Line:   [player_tooltip player_id='1114437' first='Antonio' last='Harris'], 2026 - Millard South - Minnesota State-Mankato commit - <a href="https://x.com/HarrisTonio66" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">(@HarrisTonio66)</a>   <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>One of the more "under the radar" names on an excellent Millard South offensive line. [player_tooltip player_id='1114437' first='Antonio' last='Harris'] has been an important part of the Patriots' offensive success as the starting right tackle who isn't afraid to impose his will on opponents. Antonio is committed to Minnesota State-Mankato. </li> </ul>   [player_tooltip player_id='1085067' first='Matt' last='Erickson'], 2027 - Millard North - Nebraska Commit - <a href="https://x.com/MattErickson__" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">(@MattErickson__)</a>   <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>Millard North's [player_tooltip player_id='1085067' first='Matt' last='Erickson'] has been shining on the football field since his sophomore season and continued to dominate in 2025. The towering offensive tackle was a key blocker for a Millard North offense that rushed for over 1,300 yards. Erickson has also announced his commitment to Nebraska.</li> </ul>   [player_tooltip player_id='1581454' first='Justin' last='Parish Jr'], 2028 - Omaha Westside - 6'4" 260 lbs - <a href="https://x.com/JustinPari4103" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">(@JustinPari4103)</a>   <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>Massive breakout season for Warriors sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='1581454' first='Justin' last='Parish Jr']., who really turned heads as a first-time starter. Parish manned the Warriors' right tackle spot, where he flashed both as a run blocker and in pass protection. Parish has already begun receiving P4 attention and should be among the top OL '28 prospects in the Midwest. </li> </ul>   [player_tooltip player_id='796586' first='Ty' last='Ravnsborg'], 2026 - Creighton Prep - 6'3" 280 lbs - <a href="https://x.com/tyravnsborg" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">(@tyravnsborg)</a>   <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>Creighton Prep's [player_tooltip player_id='796586' first='Ty' last='Ravnsborg'] spearheaded what I considered a top 3 offensive line in Class A last season. With Ravnsborg leading the charge, the Jr Jays recorded 2,100+ rushing yards and 30 rushing touchdowns.</li> </ul>   [player_tooltip player_id='1547254' first='Bryce' last='Vigness'], 2027 - Papillion-La Vista - 6'4" 285 lbs - <a href="https://x.com/BryceVigness" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">(@BryceVigness)</a>   <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>Papillion-La Vista's [player_tooltip player_id='1547254' first='Bryce' last='Vigness'] carried the momentum of his recruitment taking off in the summer into a stellar junior season. Bryce is a versatile lineman who has played tackle and center, demonstrating he can handle his own at either position. </li> </ul>   Athlete:   [player_tooltip player_id='1115000' first='Jack' last='Van Slyke'], 2026 - Bishop Neumann - 5'11" 220 lbs - <a href="https://x.com/jack_van_slyke" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">(@jack_van_slyke)</a>   <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>Bishop Neuman's [player_tooltip player_id='1115000' first='Jack' last='Van Slyke'] took on several roles as he turned from a defensive menace to an offensive powerhouse and special teams ace, en route to claiming the C2 championship. Jack rushed for 1,265 yards and 24 touchdowns on 189 carries.
