You don’t have the type of season Millard South just had without some maulers in the trenches like junior guard Hunter Allen Hunter Allen 6'2" | 265 lbs | OL Millard South | 2027 State NE . Hunter was tabbed in the preseason as someone primed to star in a bigger role, and he more than delivered on those expectations with a great junior campaign. When watching Allen’s tape, my biggest takeaway was his technique and how you can tell he’s developed well in that Patriots OL factory. He plays with a strong, sturdy base and displayed great agility and lateral quickness on his feet, especially when asked to pull or climb up to the second level to seal off a LB. Hunter is very consistent with his pad level and hand placement, ensuring he can win the leverage battle on all fronts. Powerful leg drive and a competitive mean streak keep him playing until his defender is in the dirt or the whistle has blown. Great “pop” in his hands with a booming punch that can stun defenders on impact. Well-coached, aggressive, and a championship pedigree… don’t sleep!

An excellent worker who projects to be among the top OL prospects in his class by the time he’s a senior. Hunter’s mix of technique and physicality really flash when you watch his tape. You see a young, hungry player who is constantly looking to finish his blocks and playing through the whistle. He possesses great strength in his hands and a strong base to drive defenders out of lanes. His footwork and lateral burst allow him to reach second-level defenders with ease. There’s a bit of a logjam on the OL for the Patriots with some high-level prospects in the upperclassmen group, but make no mistake, Hunter should shine when his time comes.

The Patriots are building a massive OL pipeline at Millard South, and incoming senior Hunter Allen Hunter Allen 6'2" | 265 lbs | OL Millard South | 2027 State NE looks like one of the next in line. What stood out when I watched Hunter’s freshman film was that his tenacity popped off the screen. Hunter is very aggressive at the point of attack, displaying excellent explosiveness and power in his hands, stunning defenders on impact. He stays busy from snap to whistle by looking to finish his blocks on the ground or will keep his eyes peeled downfield for any other unlucky player about to cross his path. Good footwork, lateral burst/mobility, consistent pad, and strong base… this one is going to be good!!
