earned a solid bump in the rankings after a great season at left guard for the record-setting Patriots. My biggest takeaway from watching Tatum’s tape is that he brings a mean streak to the field, making him a mauler in the run game and anything but passive in pass protection. He is very aggressive at the point of attack with a jolting punch and powerful leg drive that can stun and overwhelm his opponents. Great hand placement and ability to win inside leverage. Another thing that stood out about Tatum’s tape is that he is always looking to finish his blocks in the dirt and will even look for more work after he’s already eliminated one defender. Wash is also very mobile as he does an excellent job firing out of his stance and possesses the lateral quickness to smoothly drop into his pass sets, climb to the second level, or execute pull blocks. Solid size and length at 6’3″, 270 pounds. Very promising prospect coming out of a powerhouse… buy stock ASAP!

Millard South’s Tatum Wash is a player I’m excited to get a better look at this fall after transferring from out of state. Wash is new to my radar so I’m still trying to figure out if he’ll get more playing time on the offensive or defensive line, possessing high upside on both, but projecting best on the DL. Right off the bat, Tatum passes the eye test with ideal measurables at 6’3″, 260 pounds with a wrestling background that shows on tape. Tatum bring a destructive mean streak to the field with his ability to blow linemen off their spot with his power and his aggressive use of hands to disengage from blockers. Wash plays with good pad level which allows him to maintain consistent leverage when locked up with linemen and can generate the leg drive to generate a push at the LOS. Wash’s motor also stood out as he was constantly working his way to the ball. With the skills shown on tape and three more years of developing at the prospect powerhouse of Millard South, it won’t be long before more coaches take notice of Tatum’s play!
