is a player who has been high on our radar since his freshman campaign and looks ready to close out his prep career with a bang. Colton is a high-motor ‘backer who ended his junior season with 70 tackles, seven TFLs, and a half sack. Colton plays the game like a true throwback thumper who’s not afraid to dig his nose into the grindstone. He is very sharp at reading his keys with a quick trigger and first step to get downhill in a flash when he reads the run. Tucker is very effective at filling in his gaps and can use his strength to fight off blockers at the LOS. Great power and leverage at the point of contact make him one of the top tacklers in this LB class. Tucker can also float around in coverage very well, showing he can fluidly flip his hips and roam the middle of the field while being physical at the catch point. Accomplished multiple-sport athlete who can elevate a LB room!

is ready to leave his mark on the gridiron this season. The Spartan’s middle linebacker will have a shot to carve out a nice role for himself as the defense’s main enforcer in the middle of the field. When watching Tucker’s tape, the biggest thing that stands out is his physicality and willingness to try and run through people. He’s tough to stop once he gets going downhill and uses his hands effectively to disengage from blocks. Great upside as a coverage linebacker as well, with great sideline-to-sideline quickness and solid instincts. Get ready for home big hits out of Colton in these upcoming years!

, is primed to have a monster career with the Spartans. Colton is a throwback linebacker who can be a thumper and a vocal leader in the middle of the defense. Tucker works best when he can play downhill and blow up opposing run games. He fills his gaps very well and shows the strength to fight off blocks from linemen while maintaining focus on the ball. Colton also flashed that he’s a very well-rounded ‘backer who can drop into coverage or get to the QB when asked to blitz in passing situations. Very good mobility— Colton showed sideline-to-sideline range and good speed when hawking down ball carriers. Colton has already put the state on notice on the mats with a state wrestling appearance as a freshman, and it will only be a matter of time before that impact hits the gridiron.

Here is a player I am very excited to see more of at the varsity level. As an eighth grader going through the Home Grown Movement,

immediately caught our attention. My first reaction from watching Colton’s tape is that he is all GO, 100% of the time. He plays the game with great intensity, which you love to see coming from your MIKE linebacker. Colton is a very reactive player who can crash downhill in a flash when he keys to run or flips his hips to transition into coverage when he reads pass. Tucker is smart with his gap play and always seemed to be in a prime position to make a stop on nearly every down. Flows to the ball very well with good closing speed. You can see Colton’s wrestling background shine through with his physicality and toughness on the field.

– A running back/linebacker prospect out of Lincoln that looks like a future bright spot at middle linebacker in the Cornhusker State
– Had a really good year as a Running Back, easily running over would-be tacklers with his (unverified) 5-foot-10, 180-pound frame. However, everything about his game says linebacker long term
– Also throws shotput and is a stud wrestler that went 36-2 on the year, highlighted by a 1st place finish at the AAU State Tournament and a 3rd place finish at the Nebraska USA State Tournament. Look for him to see varsity/starting lineup opportunity in both sports at Lincoln East High School
