returns as one of the more electric players in the state. As a junior, TayTay was a pivotal part of the Warriors’ offense, rushing for 1,866 yards and 28 touchdowns on 214 carries, averaging 8.7 yards per tote. The most notable aspect of Jenkins’ game is his explosiveness. You can’t give him an inch of space without him being able to sniff it out and explode through it for a massive gain. Once he finds the open field, TayTay flashes an elite burst of speed and acceleration that makes him a threat to score from anywhere on the field. Jenkins’ vision also contributes to him looking very smooth and natural as a runner, especially as he weaves through traffic with few wasted movements. He may not be the biggest back, but he is incredibly strong with a sturdy lower body that helps him maintain his balance through tackle attempts. Jenkins is also an asset as a receiver, having hauled in 17 receptions for 329 yards and three touchdowns. He’s very effective when you can get him the ball out in space, where he can use his blockers to rack up some YAC.

continued to show why he’s one of the more explosive players in the state last season, tearing up defenses on the ground and through the air. Jenkins tallied 214 carries, 1,866 rushing yards, 28 receptions, 430 receiving yards, 28 rushing touchdowns, and six receiving touchdowns. He recently received his first D1 offer from South Dakota and already holds a JUCO offer from Iowa Central.
Nebraska’s breakout player of the year this year has been TayTay Jenkins. He’s not very big for a RB (5’8” and 180), but he plays like a beast.
TayTay has elite twitch and explosiveness. He can flat-out take over a game with home run ability any time he touches the ball.
When the passing game isn’t moving, Jenkins is often someone they look at to get them going on screens. He had nearly 2,000 yards last season and is on a similar pace this year.
He has a Tarik Cohen/Darren Sproles kind of skillset, and I would pound the table that he can be a difference maker at the next level.
