Expert Analysis
Nate Wahl | Prep Redzone Scout
Riley quickly shows off what looks like a well-rounded tight end with the ideal size college coaches are looking for at the tight end position. The 6’4 220 pounder out of Omaha Westside, is a mauler when it comes to his run-blocking ability, as Riley shows off great pad-level and pummeling physicality at the point of attack. He boosts a fluid quick release off the snap and is one that has sure hands persistently over the middle of the field. This young man is a 2028 tight end I would get on the radar early out of this class if I were a scholarship-level school at the next-level. One of the most well-rounded TEs in the state.

is set to step into a good situation with his transition from Millard West to Omaha Westside. Riley should step in nicely into the Warriors’ tight end position, where he will catch passes from 4-star QB Warren. Swim checks the measurables boxes for a tight end with a strong, sturdy frame at 6’4″ and 215 pounds, with room to continue packing on some mass. Watching his tape, Riley stood out with his ability to attack the middle of the field, showing he can get open in the underneath zones and can even turn upfield to tack on some yards after the catch. He uses his length and catch radius to his advantage by making catches outside of his frame, and he has the hand strength to hold on to the ball through contact. Swim also proved to be an asset in the blocking game with his physicality in the run game, willingness to stay in pass protection, and can stack-and-release to catch defenses off guard.

impressed in his limited varsity role last season, and although he didn’t receive many touches, he still stood out in many ways. The main part of his game that stood out was his physicality and technique as a blocker. He works very well as an in-line tight end who can be an asset in the run game, showing that he can climb up to the second level to clear out defenders and has the motor to stay engaged through the whistle. Good use of leverage and hand placement. As a pass catcher, Riley is a big-bodied receiver at 6’3″, 205 pounds with sure hands and is tough to bring down in the open field. High ceiling player!
