The Westside Warriors get some reinforcements in their secondary with the addition of DB Kordai Richard Kordai Richard 5'9" | 160 lbs | ATH Omaha Westside | 2027 State NE from North. With the Vikings, Kordai recorded 23 tackles, a TFL, a sack, and two interceptions. My biggest takeaway from watching Kordai’s tape is that although he may be “undersized,” he’s got a lot of fight in him. He’s willing to challenge receivers at the catch point and can press successfully at the LOS. Richard also showed he can fight off perimeter blocks to step up against the run. Good fluidity in his backpedal with clean footwork, loose hips, and a smooth change of direction when mirroring receivers. Richard has solid speed to keep him in-step with receivers and has good twitchiness to stick with shifty slot receivers. Kordai’s instincts were also impressive as he did a good job getting his eyes up in time to find the ball and defend it in the air (4 PBUs). Overall, Kordai is a dynamic athlete who could see himself earn touches on offense and as a return man for the Warriors.
