Lincoln Southeast’s Mason Mehta Mason Mehta 6'3" | 230 lbs | TE/EDGE Lincoln Southeast | 2027 State NE has been hot on the recruiting trail after a stellar junior season in which he flashed massive potential at tight end and as an edge rusher. Mason ended the season with 17 receptions for 394 yards and three receiving touchdowns (23.2 ypc), as well as 52 tackles, five TFLs, and five sacks. Mehta has already earned offers from various D1 programs, including UT-Martin, Liberty, North Dakota State, Minnesota, and South Dakota. Kansas State has also been involved in Mason’s recruitment with expected visits this spring/summer.

The Knights got some solid production out of their freshman group, including tight end Mason Mehta Mason Mehta 6'3" | 230 lbs | TE/EDGE Lincoln Southeast | 2027 State NE . Mason ended the season as the freshman leader in receiving yards among tight ends, finishing the year with 192 yards and a touchdown on ten receptions. Mason does a great job at using his athleticism and 6’3″ 205-pound frame to out-physical defenders at the catch point. He’s also a tough player who can pick up yards after the catch, even when taking on contact. Mason and the 2027 group can be a special one for the Knights.

Another freshman that was quick to make his presence known is TE Mason Mehta Mason Mehta 6'3" | 230 lbs | TE/EDGE Lincoln Southeast | 2027 State NE -Mehta, who ended the season second in team receiving yards. Mason finished up with 10 receptions for 192 yards and a receiving touchdown. The impressive part is his average of 19 yards per reception, showing that he can break open for big gains. He has great size at 6’3” and 205 pounds and will only continue to get bigger and stronger. Very impressive prospect with a massive ceiling.
