Columbus Lakeview’s Luke Wellman Luke Wellman 6'3" | 295 lbs | OL Columbus Lakeview | 2027 State NE is a prospect who combines polish, production, and three years of varsity starting experience. Luke started on both the offensive and defensive line, posting 40 tackles, two TFLs, two sacks, and a fumble recovery, with his higher upside coming on offense. Luke stands out immediately with next-level size at 6’3 and 290 pounds with the power to match the frame. He plays with great balance and consistent pad level, which helps him maintain good leverage against his opponent. Wellman’s mobility also stood out on tape as he demonstrated good footwork and the ability to get out in space to block on screens or when clearing out the second level. Great pop in his hands when making contact. Luke is also a great finisher with the mean streak to drive until his opponent is in the dirt. We don’t have a full junior-year film for Luke, but we are looking forward to checking it out!
