Elkhorn North’s Zach Wolfe Zach Wolfe 6'5" | 220 lbs | DL/TE Elkhorn North | 2027 State NE is another player who made big plays at both tight end and on the defensive line. The rising Wolves’ junior hauled in 17 catches for 165 yards and four touchdowns with 32 tackles, 7.5 TFLs, and 5.5 sacks on defense. Wolfe recently received his first offer from in-state NSIC powerhouse Wayne State. He has also taken junior day trips to North Dakota State and South Dakota State this winter.

The stars are aligning for junior TE Zach Wolfe Zach Wolfe 6'5" | 220 lbs | DL/TE Elkhorn North | 2027 State NE to have a big season for Elkhorn North this fall. The 6’4″, 205-pound tight end had a limited role as a sophomore but had several flashes as he recorded 11 receptions for 93 yards and showed off his blocking skills. Zach is currently listed as a tight end, but has potential as a Flex TE/WR hybrid player, depending on his continued physical development. His taller frame allows him to take advantage of size mismatches against smaller defenders, and he has the strength to “outphysical” his opponents at the catch point. Wolfe also impressed with his toughness, especially when making plays over the middle of the field, showing he can take on contact and stay upright to fight for more yardage. Good burst after the catch. A big reason Zach really stood out was his physicality as a blocker, making him a huge asset in the running game. Wolfe proved his willingness to bury his nose in a defender’s chest and move them off the ball using great technique, hand placement, and leg drive. The Wolves have produced a ton of high-level prospects in the past few seasons (with a handful currently on the roster), and it looks like Zach could be next up!
