2026 could be the season that the SRC Huskies get over the hump and make a championship run with players like Carter Eickmeier Carter Eickmeier 5'8" | 160 lbs | RB/LB Shelby-Rising City | 2027 State NE leading the charge. Carter balled out as a junior, totaling 184 carries, 1,357 rushing yards, 24 rushing touchdowns, 44 tackles, five TFLs, and a sack. Carter may not be the biggest back, but he attacks every carry with elite hustle. Eickmeier is a type of runner who possesses the strength and balance to fight off tackles, but also has enough “punch” in his acceleration to break away for the home run ball. He sees the field very well and is patient to follow his blocks, while also having the twitch to weave through traffic. Eickmeier’s ability to hit the corner and then hit his next gear as he clears the second level is what keeps opposing defensive coordinators up at night. Very tough player to tackle due to his low, powerful base and constantly pumping legs… you should also expect a shoulder or mean stiff arm coming your way. Tough 8-man prospect who should get more looks this summer!
