Get 25% Off Your Subscription By Entering Knight25 In The Coupon Code Area. Enjoy!

The 2025 football season is right around the corner. Over the next couple days, we're going to put the spotlight on the very best players in the state of Oklahoma as we head into this season. Starting today with our official 2025 Preseason All State 1st Team. These players have more than earned their way on this list in one way or another. Now, of course the ultimate goal is to be on this list at the end of the season but this is a great opportunity to look at the names you need to know about before the season kicks off.

OFFENSE

QB - [player_tooltip player_id='449993' first='Easton' last='Webb'] - Senior - Sand Springs
Sand Springs senior quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='449993' first='Easton' last='Webb'] will be a four-year starter for the Sandites and he took a significant step during his junior season. He's had the tools for a while now but his production absolutely spiked last season, making him one of the more sought after QB prospects in the state's 2026 class.

RB - [player_tooltip player_id='402378' first='KD' last='Jones'] - Senior - Jenks
Jenks senior running back [player_tooltip player_id='402378' first='KD' last='Jones'] is going into his fourth season as a starter with the final three coming at Jenks. Jones is the ultimate weapon on the offensive side of the ball. He's just as dangerous as a receiver as he is as a runner. He's also shown the ability to carry the offense. The state's top '26 prospect is committed to OSU.

RB - [player_tooltip player_id='424595' first='Masyn' last='Wright'] - Senior - Vian
Vian senior standout [player_tooltip player_id='424595' first='Masyn' last='Wright'] emerged last season as one of the state's very best football players. It doesn't matter where Wright is lined up on the field, he has the potential to make a game-changing play. But there is no doubt that he's at his best at running back. He's arguably the top available prospect in the state's '26 class.

RB - [player_tooltip player_id='472321' first='Ritson' last='Meyer'] - Senior - Elgin
Elgin senior running back [player_tooltip player_id='472321' first='Ritson' last='Meyer'] had that breakout season as he became the workhorse running back in the Elgin offense. The last time we saw Meyer on the football field, he was carrying the ball over 40 times and putting the Owls on his back in the state title game. He could have an even heavier workload in 2025.

WR - [player_tooltip player_id='1530080' first='Dom' last='Forbes'] - Junior - Sand Springs
Sand Springs junior wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id='1530080' first='Dom' last='Forbes'] enjoyed a breakout season in 2024. At this time last year, not many knew about Forbes but it didn't take long. He would make 150 yards and two touchdowns look like a walk in the park, becoming one of the state's top wide receivers and now he's hungry for more.

WR - [player_tooltip player_id='284117' first='Mason' last='James'] - Senior - Norman North
Norman North senior wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id='284117' first='Mason' last='James'] is another four year starter to watch this season. James has been a name that we've written about since his freshman season. Now, he's the unquestioned top threat at the wide receiver position in Oklahoma. Earlier this offseason, James announced his commitment to Washington.

OL - [player_tooltip player_id='1304608' first='Aiden' last='Martin'] - Senior - Berryhill
Berryhill senior offensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id='1304608' first='Aiden' last='Martin'] is the latest guy to come through the Berryhill program on the offensive line. The Chiefs are looking to bounce back and really become a consistent contender in Class 3A this season. Martin can be a big part of that push. He's another 2026 prospect committed to OSU.

OL - [player_tooltip player_id='1530067' first='Cooper' last='Hackett'] - Junior - Fort Gibson
At this time last year, Fort Gibson offensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id='1530067' first='Cooper' last='Hackett'] started to emerge as a prospect to watch in the state's '27 class. Fast forward to this year and Hackett is considered one of the nation's best on the offensive line. Hackett is now a name that almost everyone around the state knows about.

OL - [player_tooltip player_id='591882' first='Dawson' last='Matthews'] - Senior - Ada
Ada senior offensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id='591882' first='Dawson' last='Matthews'] is going into his fourth season as a starter for the Cougars. Ada has state championship aspirations in Class 4A and the offense has a chance to be electric. But it will all start up front with the play on the line of scrimmage. Matthews is committed to Memphis.

OL - [player_tooltip player_id='528027' first='Kaeden' last='Penny'] - Junior - Bixby
Bixby junior [player_tooltip player_id='528027' first='Kaeden' last='Penny'] first emerged as a defensive lineman and while he can still be a force on defense, he established himself as one of the top left tackles in the state last season. This year, Penny is looking to take that next step and be the next blue chip OL to come out of this Bixby program.

OL - [player_tooltip player_id='467408' first='Ryley' last='Kester'] - Senior - Jenks
Jenks senior offensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id='467408' first='Ryley' last='Kester'] is another four-year starter. He spent his first two seasons at Sand Springs before moving to Jenks last year. Kester has the reputation of being one of the meanest offensive lineman prospects in the state. He'll be paving the way for the Jenks offense. He's committed to Tulsa.

DEFENSE

DL - [player_tooltip player_id='1539931' first='Lebron' last='Royal'] - Senior - Carl Albert
Carl Albert senior [player_tooltip player_id='1539931' first='Lebron' last='Royal'] was one of the breakout stars for the Titans in 2024. This was a Carl Albert team that had legitimate D1 star power everywhere and Royal was consistently one of the best players on that defensive unit. We're looking forward to seeing what he's able to do for an encore in 2025.

DL - [player_tooltip player_id='1179993' first='Nakwaine' last='Carter'] - Senior - Southmoore
Southmoore defensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id='1179993' first='Nakwaine' last='Carter'] is an absolute problem on the line of scrimmage. We've said this about him before but even if he isn't making the play himself, he has such a high IQ that he can still impact the play in a variety of ways. Earlier this offseason, Carter announced his commitment to Kansas.

DL - [player_tooltip player_id='1179991' first='Tajh' last='Overton'] - Senior - Owasso
Owasso defensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id='1179991' first='Tajh' last='Overton'] is arguably the most disruptive defensive tackle in the state. He causes a lot of problems on the line of scrimmage for an offense and he's going into this season at full throttle. Overton has been highly recruited as one of the state's top '26 prospects and he became another OSU commit.

LB - [player_tooltip player_id='473879' first='Case' last='Alexander'] - Junior - Washington
Washington junior linebacker [player_tooltip player_id='473879' first='Case' last='Alexander'] has been an absolute force for the Warriors since his freshman season. He's one of the team's leading tacklers over the last two seasons and now he's hungry for more. In addition to defense, we'll see Alexander playing quite a bit of offense this season.

LB - [player_tooltip player_id='1097273' first='Coda' last='Barnoski'] - Senior - Muskogee
Senior linebacker [player_tooltip player_id='1097273' first='Coda' last='Barnoski'] has been one of the more productive linebackers in the state over the last two seasons. This offseason, he left Muskogee for a moment but will now suit up in the Rougher green once again this fall. In our opinion, he's one of the more underrated 2026 defensive prospects in Oklahoma.

LB - [player_tooltip player_id='216547' first='Colton' last='McComb'] - Junior - Edmond Memorial
Edmond Memorial junior linebacker [player_tooltip player_id='216547' first='Colton' last='McComb'] had that breakout moment in 2024, becoming one of 6A-1's top linebackers. It was only a matter of time before the colleges started to notice the production and overall athleticism. McComb has absolutely blown up this offseason and shows no signs of slowing down.

LB - [player_tooltip player_id='414994' first='Cord' last='Nolan'] - Senior - Bixby
Bixby senior [player_tooltip player_id='414994' first='Cord' last='Nolan'] is a four-year starter for the Spartans and when you think about how rare that is at a program like Bixby, that's saying quite a bit. The Spartans are also known for their linebackers and Nolan is the next guy to come through the pipeline. The Bixby senior is committed to Texas Tech.

DB - [player_tooltip player_id='403509' first='Adam' last='Auston'] - Senior - Lawton MacArthur
Lawton MacArthur senior standout [player_tooltip player_id='403509' first='Adam' last='Auston'] is no doubt one of the top defensive prospects in the state but this season, he could have a significant impact on both sides of the ball. Auston is your prototypical safety or even linebacker and he packs a punch. Auston has committed to play in the SEC at Arkansas.

DB - [player_tooltip player_id='1179994' first='Da'Jon' last='Green'] - Senior - Choctaw
Choctaw senior [player_tooltip player_id='1179994' first='Da'Jon' last='Green'] is ready for his senior season and he's another prospect that checks just about every box from a prospect perspective. Green has size, athleticism and legitimate cover skills at the cornerback position. He helped lead Choctaw to a state title and this offseason, he committed to Boston College.

DB - [player_tooltip player_id='402381' first='Oliver' last='Smith'] - Senior - Union
Union senior defensive back [player_tooltip player_id='402381' first='Oliver' last='Smith'] firmly established himself last season as one of the state's very best at the cornerback position. Smith is one of the top corners in a one on one situation and he can legitimately take away one side of the field. Smith is one of the other top available 2026 prospects.

DB - [player_tooltip player_id='478124' first='Semaj' last='Stanford'] - Junior - Broken Arrow
Broken Arrow junior [player_tooltip player_id='478124' first='Semaj' last='Stanford'] made the move from Jenks to BA this offseason. He started for the Trojans for the last two seasons and now he gives the Tigers one of the very best players in the state. Stanford checks every box from a prospect perspective, and that's why he's the top '27 prospect in the state.

KICKER/ATHLETES

K - [player_tooltip player_id='1326387' first='Colten' last='Cole'] - Senior - Sulphur
Sulphur senior [player_tooltip player_id='1326387' first='Colten' last='Cole'] has played a lot of different positions over the last few seasons. He's committed to Rice as a tight end but he also happens to be perhaps the best kicker in the state. The kicking stats are solid but you also have to consider the fact that he's an extremely versatile athlete that can play multiple positions.

ATH - [player_tooltip player_id='1324250' first='Dax' last='Owens'] - Junior - Davis
Davis junior quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1324250' first='Dax' last='Owens'] helped lead the Wolves back to the mountain top with a state championship in Class 2A-2 last season. He ran their option offense to perfection and now he's entering his third season as a starter. His ceiling as an overall athlete continues to get higher and higher.

ATH - [player_tooltip player_id='1525562' first='Greydon' last='Howell'] - Junior - Broken Bow
Broken Bow junior standout [player_tooltip player_id='1525562' first='Greydon' last='Howell'] is arguably the most electric football player in the state. At this time last year, we didn't know much about Howell. It only took one or two weeks for him to become one of the state's best. Howell has continued to climb the ladder, becoming one of the state's top athletes.

ATH - [player_tooltip player_id='587270' first='Jerrod' last='Williams'] - Senior - Heritage Hall
Heritage Hall senior standout [player_tooltip player_id='587270' first='Jerrod' last='Williams'] exploded last season in the very first game of the year. Offense, defense and special teams, Williams was absolutely terrific. He missed time halfway through his junior season so we're looking forward to seeing a full year for him this fall. He committed to Tulsa this summer.

ATH - [player_tooltip player_id='1569774' first='Maddax' last='Mobly'] - Senior - Sulphur
Sulphur senior running back [player_tooltip player_id='1569774' first='Maddax' last='Mobly'] is another example of a player that can just make things happen, no matter where he's lined up. He was incredibly productive last fall as a runner and as a receiver. He also produced on defense. He had a terrific performance in the state title game and he's committed to Navy.

ATH - [player_tooltip player_id='587262' first='Ricklan' last='B Holmes II'] - Senior - Del City
Del City senior [player_tooltip player_id='587262' first='Ricklan' last='B Holmes II'] took a massive leap during the 2024 season, becoming one of the top two-way players in the state. Now, at his core, Holmes is a linebacker but don't overlook the ability he has at the running back position. Holmes is an outstanding player and committed to New Mexico this offseason.
