A lot of what we wrote about Meyer can be repeated here. Sulphur standout Maddax Mobly Maddax Mobly RB/LB Sulphur | 2026 State OK has been an absolute star for the Bulldogs and similar to Meyer, it seems like he always performs at his best when the lights are the brightest. Another thing that Mobly brings to the field is his versatility. It hasn’t mattered where Sulphur has put Mobly or how they’ve used him in their schemes, he always produces and he always has a significant impact. Just like Meyer, you can make things very simple when you’re evaluating him as a prospect. He is an outstanding football player. No matter where or how you use him, he’s going to be an outstanding football and make his team and program better.

We mentioned earlier in the preview how Sulphur’s offense is headlined by one of the best running backs in the state. Senior Maddax Mobly Maddax Mobly RB/LB Sulphur | 2026 State OK is that guy. Mobly was absolutely dominant last season in all aspects of the game. Offensively, he finished with nearly 1,000 rushing yards and over 700 receiving yards. He scored 29 touchdowns on the offensive side of the ball and 32 total scores between offense, defense and special teams. He also had over 80 tackles from his linebacker spot on defense. And the last time we saw Mobly, he was arguably the best player on the football field in that 3A state championship game. He’s an absolute monster and hungry for more in 2025.

Sulphur running back Maddax Mobly Maddax Mobly RB/LB Sulphur | 2026 State OK is another player that helped lead his team to the state championship game. Even though the Bulldogs came up short and had to settle for silver, Mobly made quite the statement in that state championship game. They were facing Lincoln Christian and Lincoln had one of the best defenses in the state and one of the best front seven units in the state, regardless of class. Nobody had success in the run game against Lincoln Christian in 2024, except for Mobly in that 3A state title game. Mobly was outstanding and while they came up a bit short, he had a terrific junior season. Mobly coming back in 2025 is a big reason why we think that Sulphur could end up making a return trip to Edmond and competing again for the state title.
