Senior defensive tackle Tajh Overton Tajh Overton 6'3" | DL Owasso | 2026 State OK is one of the top overall prospects in the state’s 2026 class and last season, he earned All State 1st Team honors after being an absolute force in the middle of Owasso’s defensive line. As we’ve mentioned, Owasso’s defense is young but having a legitimate blue chip prospect setting the tone on the line of scrimmage will make everyone’s job a little easier. Overton commands double teams and sometimes even that doesn’t work. Anytime we’ve watched Overton in person, he always finds a way to impact the game as your prototypical next level defensive tackle. There’s a reason why he has programs from all over the country coming after him.

Owasso defensive tackle Tajh Overton Tajh Overton 6'3" | DL Owasso | 2026 State OK really started to explode during his sophomore season and at this time last year, Overton had emerged as a truly elite prospect in the state’s 2026 class. Overton has now taken over the top spot along the defensive line and it feels like every other day, Overton is being offered by another P4 program. We got a chance to see Overton in person twice during the 2024 season and each time, he lived up to the hype. The thing that impressed us the most about him was his ability to still have an impact on the game, despite going against a very talented offensive line on the other side of the match-up. Overton is your prototypical defensive tackle that can absolutely wreck things along the line of scrimmage. It feels like he’s either going to beat his man or he’s going to be held if he’s in a one on one situation. And that makes double-teaming him mandatory for opponents.

Following his sophomore season, Owasso defensive lineman Tajh Overton Tajh Overton 6'3" | DL Owasso | 2026 State OK emerged as one of the state’s top overall prospects. Overton went from being a guy that was somewhat unknown around the state to a guy that had a handful of D1 offers. But it seems like that happens with a guy or two in every class. Once one program hops on board, it starts a snowball effect and within a week, that prospect has a handful of offers. And when it comes to Overton, it’s easy to see why college coaches are making Owasso a priority stop. He is absolutely dominant on the interior of a defensive line. When we watched the Rams in person earlier this season, Overton got off to a massive start against defending champion Bixby. And Overton is benefitting from going against a great OL group every day at practice.

As we mentioned with Satterwhite, this Owasso defensive line is not a unit to overlook. It’s not surprising that they have some monsters on that side as they’ve been going head to head with a stout offensive line group. But junior defensive lineman Tajh Overton Tajh Overton 6'3" | DL Owasso | 2026 State OK could be the best of all of them. Overton has quickly emerged as not only one of the best defensive lineman prospects in the state, but one of the best overall prospects. He’s being recruited and offered by some of the major players in college football today and his options will continue to grow as we move forward. There are simply not many prospects in the 2026 class hotter than Overton in the last six months.
