was enjoying a breakout season in the Owasso offense but was also dealing with nagging injuries. This season, Bethel has been one half of a legitimate two-headed monster at the wide receiver position with the Rams. We’ve seen firsthand how electric and slippery Bethel can be with the football in his hands. He’s the perfect example of a “big play” receiver. It doesn’t matter if it’s him climbing the ladder to snatch a jump ball or making the catch and then making a big play happen after the catch. Bethel is one of the better playmakers in the state and he’s been doing it against the top competition for the last two seasons.

has been on our radar for a while now because of his work in various 7v7 tournaments. But he was still needing that breakout moment when the pads came on and it was Friday night in the fall. That came immediately in 2024. Bethel was the best player on the field when Owasso opened the season against Bixby. The 2026 standout would deal with some nagging injuries throughout the 2024 season, late in the year and that prevented him a bit but not enough to scare college coaches away. He’s seen his recruitment really start to pick up over the last six months and it shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon.

was going to be one of the state’s top playmakers this fall. In the week zero win over Bixby, Bethel went off with a pair of receiving touchdowns and a kick return for a score. Bethel is leading the Rams in receiving yards and touchdowns this season and has climbed the ranks as one of the top wide receivers in the state’s 2026 class. Bethel was in a similar boat to McGlothlin where he’s stood out to us in the past at 7v7 tournaments but we were waiting for that breakout moment when the pads came on in the fall. We’ve had that moment as Bethel is looking to make up for lost time after missing last season with an injury. He’s been one of the state’s top playmakers in the largest class.
