Norman North wide receiver and Washington commit Mason James Mason James 5'11" | 155 lbs | WR Norman North | 2026 State OK is once again the top rated wide receiver in the state’s 2026 class and a top five overall prospect. James has been considered that guy since his sophomore season and he’s only continued to elevate his game from there. James is widely considered one of the best wide receivers in this part of the country and he had many power four programs coming after him. This summer, James ultimately decided to commit to Washington and has been committed to the Huskies ever since. But because he’s one of the state’s top prospects, that certainly hasn’t stopped other schools from trying to pull him away from the Pacific northwest.

Senior and Washington commit Mason James Mason James 5'11" | 155 lbs | WR Norman North | 2026 State OK comes into this season as the top wide receiver in Oklahoma. James has been an absolute freak since bursting onto the scene during his freshman season. He became a true national prospect following his sophomore season. Earlier this summer, James committed to Washington, picking the Huskies over offers from just about everywhere else. The Norman North product is coming off an All State season and he’s hungry for more. He’s so fast with the football in his hands and he’s incredibly smooth with all of his movements. James is going into this year as the top receiver in the state and plans on ending it as that before heading to the pacific northwest.

Norman North standout Mason James Mason James 5'11" | 155 lbs | WR Norman North | 2026 State OK has been an absolute star since his freshman season. When he was a freshman, James was an overall athlete, standing out in all three phases of the game. But over the last two seasons, James has emerged as arguably the very best wide receiver in the state, regardless of class. And now that the 2025 class has graduated, James might not have much competition at the top of the list. James was an All State 2nd Team selection during his junior season and we’d be very surprised if he didn’t elevate to the 1st Team in 2025. James was also one of the Oklahoma standouts earlier this week at the Under Armour camp in north Texas. And as we wrote then, the overall quickness and speed of James makes him nearly impossible to cover in one on one situations. James also recently announced his Top Ten schools so he’s starting to narrow things down for his college choice.

Norman North wide receiver Mason James Mason James 5'11" | 155 lbs | WR Norman North | 2026 State OK is another example of a prospect where it felt like a light bulb went off and in the blink of an eye, he became a true national recruit. James has been starting for Norman North since his freshman season. Last year, he became more of a wide receiver after playing on both sides of the ball in 2022. This year, James is one of the state’s most electric wide receivers and when he gets the ball in the open field, he is an absolute nightmare to bring down. James is incredibly fast and he’s a big play waiting to happen. He’s not the biggest wide receiver prospect in this class but he’s also shown us his ability to lower the shoulder and deliver a hit. We’ve said it before but James is one of the more electric players to watch in the state’s 2026 class.
