There’s no other way to put it, Norman North is a quarterback factory and whoever is QB1 for the Timberwolves, he’s going to be a name to know. It seems like they’ve had a future D1 QB or borderline D1 QB as their starter every year for the last decade.

looks like he’s going to be the next guy in that group. At this time last year, we were writing about Henry and the potential he had to take over this job. All signs pointed to Henry being the next guy for Norman North but he still had to go out and prove it. That’s exactly what he did in his first season as QB1. He was one of the top passers in Class 6A-1 and in our opinion, he’s just scratching the surface on what he can be.

Henry was the starter as a sophomore for the Timberwolves in 2025. Henry is deadly accurate in the mid-range and quick game. In his first season as a starter, Henry threw for over 3,000 yards. Henry loses a few key weapons to graduation, but expect to see him rise and lead the team on another playoff run in 2026. Henry will be on a lot of college prospect lists after camp season this summer.

We shouldn’t be surprised because Norman North has been a quarterback factory for about a decade now.

has exploded onto the scene, becoming one of the state’s top passers and that’s not up for debate. Coming into this week, Henry has nearly 2,000 yards and 18 touchdowns. He had back to back 400-yard games in late September and he’s only going to get better from here. Now it should be thrown out that Henry certainly benefits from having one of the state’s top wide receivers in this offense. But Henry has been a name that we’ve been aware of since he was in middle school. He’s starting to check a lot of boxes and could end up pushing to be the top QB in this class. He’s been very fun to watch and is definitely near the top for the most productive 2028 prospect this fall.

. But for Henry, he’s been a name that has been on our radar since his 8th grade year. He checks a lot of boxes but it’s all unproven at the varsity level. He has performed incredibly well, everywhere he’s been but we’re waiting to see how he does under the bright lights of Friday nights. Now, when you look at the skill talent that Norman North has, whoever the quarterback is this season is going to have the benefit of some absolute weapons on offense.

was another example of a 2028 quarterback that had some hype around his name coming into the 2024 season but he was also behind a multiple-year starter on the depth chart. And when you look at Norman North over the last decade, this program knows what they’re doing at the quarterback position and we could end up seeing Henry being the next breakout player for the Timberwolves at the quarterback position. When we had an opportunity to see Henry during the spring, he certainly lived up to the hype and passed the eye test. Now, the Timberwolves have another quarterback battling with Henry but right now, it looks like it’s going to be the soon-to-be sophomore when they open the season this fall. He’s another example of a quarterback that just has advanced arm talent and checks every box when you watch him throw.

is in a very similar position to Young when it comes to his current evaluation and upside moving forward. The Timberwolves had a three-year starter at quarterback last year and he ended up signing with Washington State. If Henry absorbed everything he could while watching from the sidelines, he should be in a strong spot as Norman North takes the field in 2025. Again, it’s easy to assume on the outside looking in that he’ll be the QB1 for Norman North but he’ll have to earn it. Henry has impressed us from what we’ve seen of him but it’s a very limited sample size. Henry’s upside is something to watch this fall. It will also help that he’s going to have arguably the state’s best wide receiver to throw the ball to this fall.

looks to be the next guy up at Norman North once Eshelman graduates. Having an opportunity to sit behind and learn from a D1 commit is invaluable experience for Henry and it just raises his overall potential moving forward. Henry is a prospect that has a very high ceiling and he was definitely in the conversation of quarterbacks that we knew about coming into this season. He’s another prospect that came to one of our PRZ-Next camps in the offseason and you can tell that he has put a lot of work in. The ball comes out and it comes out in a hurry. Like Young, Henry is a QB prospect that is patiently waiting for his turn on Friday nights.
