He's solidified himself as one of the best quarterbacks in the state in every aspect. Now, he's looking to take Norman North's offense to new heights and he has all the tools to do just that.

RB - [player_tooltip player_id='1298836' first='Byron' last='Mason'] - Senior - Norman North
[player_tooltip player_id='1298836' first='Byron' last='Mason'] showed all the signs of being a breakout star for Norman North around this time last year. He lived up to the hype and was their dynamic playmaker on offense. Whether it was running the football or being a threat out of the backfield as a receiver, Mason could do a little bit of everything and will rejoin Henry in the Norman North backfield.

RB - [player_tooltip player_id='1164507' first='CJ' last='Wright'] - Junior - Jenks
[player_tooltip player_id='1164507' first='CJ' last='Wright'] is one of the more electric football players in the state and was critical to Lincoln Christian's state title team in 2025. Now, he will face a new challenge against 6A-1 competition week in and week out. This summer, Wright moved over to Jenks and gives the Trojans an instant impact playmaker.

RB - [player_tooltip player_id='474035' first='Josiah' last='Dickerson'] - Junior - Washington
[player_tooltip player_id='474035' first='Josiah' last='Dickerson'] is on the shortlist of players we're fired up to watch this season. He was incredibly productive last season as a sophomore and was splitting carries and had a partial tear in his knee for the entire season. Despite that, he was outstanding and now he is the marquee back and is healthy for the 2026 season.

WR - [player_tooltip player_id='1014077' first='Cameron' last='Quarrels Jr.'] - Senior - Edmond Memorial
[player_tooltip player_id='1014077' first='Cameron' last='Quarrels Jr.'] was a new name in Oklahoma after moving into the state last offseason. He quickly emerged as the top target in the Bulldog offense and now, coming into his senior year, he is one of the top playmakers in 6A-1. But this fall, we think he'll be one of the top playmakers in the state, regardless of class.

WR - [player_tooltip player_id='523223' first='Gage' last='Gibbons'] - Senior - Deer Creek (Air Force Commit)
[player_tooltip player_id='523223' first='Gage' last='Gibbons'] returns for one more year before heading off to the D1 level. Gibbons is a prototypical slot receiver that is so shifty in the open field. He's also a legitimate star on the track and that speed certainly comes through when he's on the gridiron. Gibbons has the potential to be one of the top playmakers in the state this fall.

OL - [player_tooltip player_id='1829859' first='Cooper' last='Clark'] - Junior - Mustang
[player_tooltip player_id='1829859' first='Cooper' last='Clark'] is one of the best offensive linemen in the state's 2028 class. Mustang is also very confident with their offensive line coming into this season and Clark is the foundational piece of that moving forward. Starting for the Broncos at left tackle, Clark has the potential to pave the way for a very explosive Mustang offense.

OL - [player_tooltip player_id='1607998' first='Jamison' last='Mobley'] - Sophomore - Jenks
[player_tooltip player_id='1607998' first='Jamison' last='Mobley'] is one of a few 2029 prospects that started right away as freshmen last fall. From the opening game, it was clear that Mobley was going to be a name to know for the Trojans moving forward. On an offensive line that had multiple D1 commits and eventual signees, Mobley earned his position.

OL - [player_tooltip player_id='2244453' first='Sean' last='Maguire'] - Senior - Piedmont
[player_tooltip player_id='2244453' first='Sean' last='Maguire'] is one of the more experienced offensive linemen returning for the 2026 season. And when you look at the offense that Piedmont runs, he's critically important to what they do on that side of the ball. This is a team that will run the ball upwards of 90% of the time and they get that room with Maguire on the line.

OL - [player_tooltip player_id='1683118' first='Ty' last='Gaither'] - Senior - Hilldale
[player_tooltip player_id='1683118' first='Ty' last='Gaither'] is another offensive lineman that comes into this season with a ton of momentum. The last two times we've seen the Hilldale big man in person, both times in May, he was the best offensive lineman in attendance. The first was at our Showcase camp and then a few weeks later with the pads on at a team camp.

OL - [player_tooltip player_id='1836862' first='Xavier' last='Jauregui'] - Senior - Nathan Hale
[player_tooltip player_id='1836862' first='Xavier' last='Jauregui'] has emerged as one of the top offensive linemen in the state's 2027 class. He had a fantastic junior season and has only built on that throughout the offseason. The arrow is definitely pointing up with this Nathan Hale program and they could take a big step forward this fall but it starts with Jauregui on the line.

DEFENSE

DL - [player_tooltip player_id='1836352' first='Cashton' last='Mathis'] - Junior - Enid
[player_tooltip player_id='1836352' first='Cashton' last='Mathis'] has firmly established himself as one of the top game-wreckers in the state on the defensive line. He'll be in a unique position this fall as Enid is an independent team for the next two seasons. But with Mathis on the field, they have an absolute game-wrecker that can set the tone defensively.

DL - [player_tooltip player_id='1198491' first='Jayce' last='Watson'] - Senior - Choctaw
[player_tooltip player_id='1198491' first='Jayce' last='Watson'] is one of the more destructive interior defensive linemen that is returning this season. Last fall, Watson was an absolute star for the Choctaw defense and helped them make it back to the 6A-2 state title game. When we're looking at the state's 2027 DL class, Watson is underrated and should be talked about more.

DL - [player_tooltip player_id='1839826' first='Kade' last='Ditmore'] - Senior - Tonkawa
[player_tooltip player_id='1839826' first='Kade' last='Ditmore'] is another edge rusher that caused absolute havoc last year in opposing backfields. He helped lead Tonkawa to the state title game in 2025 and now looks to lead the Buccaneers to the gold ball in 2026. He'll also be a critical part of their offense as one of the better two-way players in Class A-1 football this season.

DL - [player_tooltip player_id='1208264' first='Mason' last='McAlvain'] - Senior - Pryor
[player_tooltip player_id='1208264' first='Mason' last='McAlvain'] returns for his senior season after helping lead Pryor to one of their best seasons in school history in 2025. McAlvain is your prototypical defensive tackle or nose guard that just messes up an opposing offense and whatever gameplan they had. He's certainly one of the best interior defensive lineman prospects in the state.

DL - [player_tooltip player_id='1262599' first='Oakley' last='Caruthers'] - Senior - Norman (Air Force Commit)
[player_tooltip player_id='1262599' first='Oakley' last='Caruthers'] is another dominant man in the middle of the Norman defense and we're fired up to see what he does in his final season with the Tigers. Caruthers has been a force on the line of scrimmage for a few years now. This offseason, he committed to the Air Force and will look to be that game-wrecking defensive tackle one more year.

LB - [player_tooltip player_id='1694451' first='Kace' last='Tautfest'] - Senior - Tonkawa
[player_tooltip player_id='1694451' first='Kace' last='Tautfest'] comes into this season looking to pick up where he left off last season. Simply put, he was a tackling machine at the linebacker position and with him and Ditmore returning, the Buccaneers are in good shape on defense. Like Ditmore, Tautfest will also see some time on the offensive side of the ball at running back.

LB - [player_tooltip player_id='1522522' first='Ryder' last='Waddell'] - Junior - Poteau
[player_tooltip player_id='1522522' first='Ryder' last='Waddell'] has been a name to know for the Pirates since his freshman season in 2024. He followed that up with a dominant sophomore campaign and it's crazy to think that he still has two more seasons of high school football ahead of him. Waddell is the ultimate hybrid defender in the front seven and could line up just about anywhere there and have a ton of success.

DB - [player_tooltip player_id='1836873' first='Carter' last='Akin'] - Junior - Bishop McGuinness
[player_tooltip player_id='1836873' first='Carter' last='Akin'] is coming off a breakout sophomore season and we're fired up to see what he does for an encore. We knew about Akin at this time last year but definitely didn't see his 2025 season coming. Akin ended up being one of the state's top tacklers as he helped Bishop McGuinness make a run to the Class 5A state championship game.

DB - [player_tooltip player_id='1839366' first='Leeroy' last='Wells'] - Junior - Nathan Hale
[player_tooltip player_id='1839366' first='Leeroy' last='Wells'] was another breakout star as a sophomore from last season. He was one of the state's top ball hawks on the defensive side of the ball and it's hard to imagine him taking a step back this season. We assume that offenses won't be as quick to try and test Wells wherever he is in the secondary because he proved last year he'll make them pay.

DB - [player_tooltip player_id='1836882' first='Marcellous' last='Tyner'] - Junior - Bishop McGuinness
[player_tooltip player_id='1836882' first='Marcellous' last='Tyner'] joins Akin as another breakout star for the Irish as they made a run to the state title game a year ago. Like Akin, Tyner emerged as a hard-hitting defensive back that could do a little bit of everything on the defensive side of the ball. He was a ball hawk but he was also a disruptor in opposing backfields throughout the 2025 season.

DB - [player_tooltip player_id='700412' first='Peyton' last='Campbell'] - Senior - Stillwater
[player_tooltip player_id='700412' first='Peyton' last='Campbell'] was one of our favorite players to watch in person last season. He's a defensive back that is always in the right place at the right time. The instincts and overall on-field IQ Campbell has is off the charts. This season, Campbell has the potential to be a leader on a Stillwater defense that will be lights out.

KICKER/ATHLETES

K - [player_tooltip player_id='1829065' first='David' last='Stout'] - Sophomore - Cushing
[player_tooltip player_id='1829065' first='David' last='Stout'] comes into this season with a lot of momentum after a successful offseason. Stout can absolutely smash the football and the fact that he's just a sophomore is pretty crazy. He'll be their ultimate weapon in special teams. He can boot a field goal from 55 yards but he'll also help out the special teams unit during kickoffs, giving Cushing an advantage in field position.

ATH - [player_tooltip player_id='1530096' first='Brayton' last='Carter'] - Senior ATH - Stilwell
[player_tooltip player_id='1530096' first='Brayton' last='Carter'] is one of the more underrated playmakers in the state as we get ready for the 2026 season. Offensively, Carter can do a little bit of everything and will fill up the stat sheet as a runner and as a receiver. Carter will also play significant minutes on defense and can also help out special teams. Carter is a big reason why we like Stilwell to have a big 2026 campaign.

ATH - [player_tooltip player_id='1689513' first='Breck' last='Brady'] - Junior TE/DE - Mustang
[player_tooltip player_id='1689513' first='Breck' last='Brady'] is another perfect example of the “athlete” tag here because his sophomore season was outstanding on both sides of the ball. While at Bethany, Brady emerged as a massive target in the pass game as a tight end. But he turned around and would absolutely dominate the line of scrimmage. Now with Mustang, he looks to do it against 6A-1 competition.

ATH - [player_tooltip player_id='1831887' first='Carlton' last='Evans'] - Senior WR/DB - Millwood
[player_tooltip player_id='1831887' first='Carlton' last='Evans'] has made the move from Southeast to Millwood this offseason and he gives the Falcons a legitimate star on both sides of the ball. Offensively, Evans is a game-changing threat at the wide receiver position. Defensively, he can be a lockdown corner. Millwood is no stranger to having playmakers and Evans is the next one up as they begin a new era this fall.

ATH - [player_tooltip player_id='1837059' first='Cash' last='Keys'] - Senior ATH - Fort Gibson
[player_tooltip player_id='1837059' first='Cash' last='Keys'] comes into this season as one of the ultimate offensive weapons to watch this fall. Throw on the film or look at the production from last year and you see a player that was equally productive as a runner or as a receiver. This is going to be something to watch this season as Keys has the potential to be a player that flirts with 1,000 yards rushing and receiving.

ATH - [player_tooltip player_id='1599209' first='Knoxtyn' last='Rallo'] - Junior ATH - Choctaw
[player_tooltip player_id='1599209' first='Knoxtyn' last='Rallo'] is another addition to the Choctaw roster this offseason and gives them a versatile weapon that could impact the game in all three phases. Rallo has been an electric playmaker since his freshman season and has the opportunity to give the Yellowjackets a serious big play threat on offense and then someone who has the ability to return kicks.
