from Choctaw. Watson is coming off an impressive season where he recorded 39 total tackles, 17 tackles for loss, and 14 sacks. After helping lead the Yellowjackets to the state championship game last season, Watson returns as a starter and will be counted on to anchor the defensive front. Watson brings versatility to the defensive line and has the ability to line up at defensive end while also possessing the size to move inside and create problems for offensive linemen. His ability to move well for his size makes him a difficult matchup, especially when combined with his quickness off the ball. I really like how Watson uses his hands at the point of contact to keep offensive linemen off his frame and work his way off blocks. His production and versatility give Choctaw a proven playmaker up front, and after making a run to the state championship last season, Watson will be an important piece as the Yellowjackets look to make another deep playoff run.

We firmly believe that defensive lineman

is one of the more underrated players in Oklahoma’s 2027 class. All you need to do is throw on the film or look at the production he had last year as a defensive tackle. Watson is such a disruptor in the middle of this Choctaw defensive line and he was a big match-up problem for opposing offensive lines last season. There’s no reason to think that he won’t elevate his game this season and become an even bigger problem. And with Choctaw getting better and better in the front seven, we imagine that Watson is going to be freed up to cause more havoc along the line of scrimmage.

and he’s a ’27 prospect that we should have been talking about more throughout the 2025 football season. You go back and look at his film and he is an absolute disruptor on the line of scrimmage. Then you look at the production he had and he checks a lot of boxes. He’s another example of a prospect that is probably in the “tweener” category but it’s hard to argue with his production and overall impact on the game. We’re fired up to see what Watson does for an encore during his senior season. Because looking back, he was one of the better defensive linemen in the state during his junior season. He certainly has our attention now and we’ll get our first look at him in 2026 with team camps coming up this month.

Violent may be the best way to describe the defensive lineman for Choctaw. Watson’s lengthy frame and quick get off make him a nightmare for any player trying to block the edge. His hands are fast and brutal when he strikes. Watson is coming off a State Runner-Up season with the Yellowjackets and is sure to have bad intentions for offenses in 2026. Watson is a player you scheme for and can change a game in one snap. Watson and the Yellowjackets will be looking for another State showing in 2026 and have the weapons to do so.
