All signs point to 2028 quarterback Cal Whitnah Cal Whitnah 5'11" | 180 lbs | ATH/QB Choctaw | 2028 State OK being the next QB1 of the Yellowjackets this season. He steps into a role where Choctaw has had a lot of consistency and overall playmaking ability in the last few years. Whitnah is also new to the Choctaw program after starting his high school career at Harrah. He was incredibly productive as a passer and as a runner last season with the Panthers. Shortly after the season, Whitnah moved over to Choctaw and has been with the Yellowjackets throughout the offseason. He’s an athletic and tough quarterback that is going to be able to do some really good things in this Choctaw offense.

Quarterback Cal Whitnah Cal Whitnah 5'11" | 180 lbs | ATH/QB Choctaw | 2028 State OK enjoyed a breakout season with Harrah in 2026 and we’re excited to see what’s next from him. In December, Whitnah made the decision to transfer over to Choctaw and will join the Yellowjackets as they try to contend for the 6A-2 title once again. Whitnah immediately gives Choctaw a weapon that they can use in a variety of ways. He played quarterback last fall but was incredibly dynamic with the football in his hands. And one thing that we’ve learned with Choctaw over the last few years is how creative they can get with dynamic athletes. Don’t be surprised if Whitnah moves around and the Yellowjackets take full advantage of the athleticism that Whitnah plays the game with moving forward.

Sophomore quarterback and linebacker Cal Whitnah Cal Whitnah 5'11" | 180 lbs | ATH/QB Choctaw | 2028 State OK is a 2028 prospect that the Harrah coaches have been very excited about since he started breaking out during his freshman season. Whitnah is assuming the role of quarterback for the Panthers this season and he brings a lot of versatility to the field. Whitnah is an incredible athlete and while he might tear things up as a runner, he shouldn’t be overlooked as a passer. Defensively, Whitnah will also be productive from the safety position. He was also a terrific wrestler and started in baseball as a freshman.
