Evans made the move this summer from Southeast to Millwood and it’s expected that he is an instant impact player for the Falcons. He’s a two-way star at the cornerback and wide receiver position but it looks like he’s being recruited to the next level primarily at defensive back. Evans proven in the spring and there is a lot to like about his game. He checks all the boxes physically. He’s incredibly athletic and that allows him to be an absolute playmaker, every time he steps on the field. It’s not a crazy prediction but we think that Evans is going to quickly become one of the top playmakers in 2A-2 this season.

First off, he’s one of the better cornerbacks in the state’s 2027 class. So adding him to this Millwood defense is going to only make them better this season. But Evans also gives the Falcons depth at the wide receiver position. At 6’2 and 175 pounds, Evans can absolutely fly and is a match-up nightmare in a 1 on 1 situation with the ball in the air. When we got a chance to watch Evans in person back in the spring, he was absolutely dominant at the receiver position. He will be a two-way monster for Millwood this fall. 

Southeast has two newcomers in this ranking update as Carlton Evans Carlton Evans 6'2" | DB/WR Millwood | 2027 State OK has emerged as a legitimate D1 prospect this fall. Like his teammate Davis, Evans recently picked up an offer from Tulsa while on a visit to the 918. Evans is currently listed as an athlete for what he’s able to do on both sides of the ball but it wouldn’t be surprising to see him move to strictly DB when it comes to his future as a prospect. At 6’3, Evans is really impressing coaches with his abilities on the defensive side of the ball in the secondary. He’s a prospect that is debuting in a high spot but we definitely want to see more of him when his full junior film comes out this winter.
