The first player out of the gate is Damon Davis Damon Davis 6'2" | DL Millwood | 2027 State OK , who played at Southeast last season and will now be strapping it up for Millwood during his senior season. After an impressive junior campaign that included 68 total tackles, 26 tackles for loss, 14.5 sacks, and an interception, Davis is a player we are expecting to have a big season. Davis is a long, athletic edge defender who comes off the ball with his hair on fire and immediately puts pressure on opposing offenses. He shows good knockback at the point of attack and can be extremely difficult to block when teams try to run directly at him. His combination of length, strength, and athleticism allows him to create disruption in the backfield. What I really like about Davis is his ability to make plays even when the offense tries to run away from him. He does a good job running the rail, getting flat down the line of scrimmage, and chasing the play from the backside. He has the motor and athletic ability to continue pursuing the football rather than giving up on the play. Davis looks like a natural fit coming off the edge, and with his production and physical skill set, he has the potential to be a major difference-maker for Millwood during his senior season.

2027 defensive lineman Damon Davis Damon Davis 6'2" | DL Millwood | 2027 State OK joins Evans in making the move from Southeast to Millwood. Davis was a breakout star for the Spartans last season, earning All State 3rd Team honors. He finished the year with just shy of 70 tackles and nearly 15 sacks and was in the backfield (it felt like) on every play. There weren’t many players that got off to a better start in 2025 than Davis. With him joining Evans at Millwood, he immediately became one of the top defensive lineman prospects to watch in Class 2A-2 this season. He’s not the biggest DL prospect but that has not stopped him from beating the guy in front of him and getting in the backfield.

Looking back at the 2025 season, there aren’t many players that came out of the gates faster than Damon Davis Damon Davis 6'2" | DL Millwood | 2027 State OK from Southeast. It seemed like he had double digit sacks before the first month was even over. The competition level ratcheted up over the last two months but Davis still performed very well. During his junior season, he emerged as yet another name to know in the state’s 2027 class. He ended up being one of the most productive players along the defensive line and he certainly picked up the attention of college coaches in this region. That should only continue as we go into the spring and summer months. We’ll get our first look at Davis in person coming up during team camps in a few weeks. We’ve seen the film, now we’re fired up to see him in action in person.

A lot of what we said about Williams can be said again here with Southeast standout Damon Davis Damon Davis 6'2" | DL Millwood | 2027 State OK because he has hands down been one of the top defensive linemen in the state this season. He’s been living in opposing backfields and has been at or near the top of the list in terms of sacks this season. But with his size at 6’2 and 225 pounds, he probably projects to a linebacker and will inevitably make the same move as Williams when it comes to the next level. But the key here is that he’s going to end up at the next level. Earlier this fall, Davis earned his first D1 offer from Tulsa and we have a feeling that the offer train won’t slow down.
