Joining Rash in the secondary is 2028 safety John Paul Lundquist John Paul Lundquist 6'0" | ATH Norman North | 2028 State OK and he’s a 2028 prospect that has his stock going up in a major way after a very successful offseason. We got a chance to watch him go to work in various 7v7 tournaments and the athleticism and overall playmaking from him was off the charts this offseason. Last year, Lundquist was all over the place for Norman North’s defense. He finished with 84 tackles, countless pass breakups and also had four interceptions. While Rash might be the head hunter of this secondary, Lundquist is the playmaker that can turn a game in an instant. He played at a high level in 6A-1 as just a sophomore.

Norman North two-way standout John Paul Lundquist John Paul Lundquist 6'0" | ATH Norman North | 2028 State OK is another two-way prospect to watch out for in 6A-1 this season. Lundquist had a really strong sophomore season and he did it almost entirely on the defensive side of the ball. He emerged as a productive safety in the Norman North secondary. He ended up being a guy that was always around the football and was a heat-seeking missile when he got to his target. Now, we’ve also got a chance to watch Lundquist in person in multiple 7v7 tournaments this offseason. And in each instance, he was a standout on the offensive side of the ball. Offseason 7v7 tournaments aren’t the same as Fridays in the fall but there is no doubt that he’s a playmaker.

Lundquist first got on our radar around this time last year while he was playing on the 7v7 circuit. It was clear that he had a lot of athletic ability and it really stood out on the defensive side of the ball. Lundquist was productive for Norman North during his sophomore season but we’re really excited to see how his role continues to grow during this offseason and into the 2026 regular season. We got another chance to see Lundquist at a 7v7 event recently. He was one of the top two-way players in his division, making a ton of plays on both sides of the ball.
