is right there near the top of the list when it comes to the most impactful players in the state. And because of that, he’s another example of a prospect in this class that it just doesn’t add up with his recruitment. He’s a winner, he’s an absolute workhorse and he can make a program better. Meyer should be higher on a lot of college’s lists when it comes to the running back position. He’s even shown this season that he can impact the game on defense at linebacker. We’ve watched quite a bit of Meyer’s game over the last two seasons and we don’t think it’s hyperbole. Meyer is one of the best players in the state of Oklahoma and he should be recruited like that.

as a player that was going to have a breakout season. And he certainly lived up to all the preseason hype. Meyer would score 34 total touchdowns on the season and was an absolute workhorse at the running back position. In fact, the last time he was on the field, Meyer was carrying the ball over 40 times in the state championship game. Absolute workhorse. And it wouldn’t be surprising to see his production even go up this season. Meyer earned All State 2nd Team honors last season and he will go into this year as one of the best running backs in the state. He’s definitely the top back in Class 4A.

in person, he was helping lead the Owls to their first state championship in school history and he was quite literally, carrying them to the gold ball. In that 4A title game classic, Meyer would finish the game with just over 40 carries on the afternoon. We knew coming into the season that Meyer had the chance to absolutely break out as one of the better running backs in the state and he certainly backed up that preseason hype. Elgin just had one of their better running backs in school history graduate and Meyer made sure that the Owls weren’t going to lose any production from that running back position. He was absolutely special from the start of the year until the end and is a true three-sport star with wrestling and baseball.
