Anthony Jones is currently our the best prospect in the state’s 2026 class and rightfully so, he’s been excellent over the last two years at Saint Paul’s Episcopal. Jones is an fantastic linebacker prospect that has tons of athleticism and a wide variety of skills at the position. Jones can do everything that is asked of him- he can rush the passer, set the edge, stop the run, and makes tons of plays on the ball regardless of where hen initially starts the play. Jones had himself a huge season this year- he recorded 102 total tackles (10 for loss), 10 sacks, 5 pass breakups and consistently was around the ball making plays all year long. Jones is a game wrecker in every sense of the word, he’s a dominant defender that truly causes chaos for opposing offenses. Jones has been highly recruited over the last few seasons, he has picked up offers from Alabama, Auburn, Kentucky and more! Keep an eye on him this upcoming season, he’s a heck of a talent and is our number one player for a reason!
Hezekiah Harris is a fantastic defensive linemen that has consistently impressed us year after year. As an sophomore, Harris possesses a rare combination of size, athleticism, and exceptional pass-rushing skills that have made him an outstanding player on his defense. With his impressive size and length, Harris effectively disrupts passing lanes and make it difficult for quarterbacks to throw over him. He has the ability to apply pressure and affect passes, making the secondary’s life easier. In addition to that, he’s a constant threat to opposing quarterbacks with how well he rushes the passer. He frequently brings down the quarterback and makes everything harder for opposing passing games. Harris’s skills extend beyond rushing the passer, he can shed blocks to stop the run and frequently makes plays in the backfield. Harris has a ton of potential and talent as a prospect, which is exactly why he’s ranked as our 2nd overall player in the class. Currently, he lists offers from Alabama, Auburn, LSU, and tons of other top tier programs!
Jamarrion Gordon is a really talented defensive back out of Jackson that has a unique blend of size, physicality, and coverage skills that have made him a really reliable member of their secondary. Standing at 6’1 160, Gordon uses his size to provide a physical presence in coverage that allows him to disrupt routes and limit the separation between him and opposing receivers. Gordon’s ball skills are a major asset to his game with his height and length- he has a great ability to high-point the ball and contest passes, often coming away with interceptions or deflections. In addition to his coverage abilities, Gordon showcases a willingness to contribute in run support. He is not afraid to step up and make tackles, utilizing his size and physicality to bring down ball carriers and provide support to the defense. Gordon had a big season last fall where he recorded 30 total tackles(2 for loss), 1 interception and seven pass breakups. Gordon has gotten a lot of collegiate attention already- receiving offers from Georgia, Auburn, Ole Miss and more!
Vodney Cleveland is a destructive force on Prattville’s defensive line with loads of potential as a prospect. Cleveland is a giant with a ton of strength, power, and pursuit abilities that allow him to wreck havoc on opposing offensive lines and backfields. It doesn’t matter if its against the run or pass, Cleveland has the physicality and athleticism to overpower or out-finesse nearly every offensive linemen he’s lined up against. Once he breaks through the line, he’s sure to bring down the quarterback/ball carrier to make key plays in the backfield, whether it be stopping the run or pressuring the quarterback. Last fall, Cleveland posted up 19 total tackles (10 solo, 1 for loss) in just 7 games- as he begins to play more he’s going to be a serious problem for offenses to plan against. Cleveland has already received offers from some high level programs like Alabama, Georgia, Florida, and more. Keep an eye on him as he continues to develop- he’s going to make a ton of plays for Prattville this upcoming season!
Landon Duckworth is a really talented dual-threat quarterback out of Jackson with a very diverse skill set that’s helped his offense become one of the top units in the state. Duckworth has a really strong arm and delivers the ball with excellent touch, he can launch accurate passes everywhere on the field- making him a massive threat to opposing secondaries. Duckworth also has an elite ability to read defenses and use his excellent mobility to his advantage. Whether he gets pressured or simply sees an open lane, Duckworth utilizes his mobility and elusiveness to help him extend and make big plays on the ground. Duckworth had an outstanding season this last fall, he recorded 118/196 attempts for 1971 yards and 27 touchdowns through the air this season as well as 62 carries for 371 yards and 5 touchdowns on the ground. Duckworth has transformed Jackson’s offense in some huge ways and has picked up some collegiate attention along the way- last year he pledged his commitment to South Carolina!
