“Ridley lines up at CB and is a constant threat for quarterbacks out in coverage- he’s terrific in zone, can cover multiple levels of the field, and has the ball skills and hands to haul in interceptions and break up passes downfield.

Ridley is also a physical run defender who plays with a ton of speed and effort to make hustle plays down near the line of scrimmage. It’s really impressive watching how well he fights off blocks and pursues after the ball carrier, he’s a talented tackler who gets low and wraps up the ball carrier for little to no gain after making first contact.“

Last week, Ridley announced he had picked up an offer from Presbyterian College! With his talent, I expect more will be sent his way soon- he’s a talented DB with a big season ahead.

Over his first two years as a starter, Ridley has made a huge impact in the secondary and plays with a ton of versatility. In coverage, Ridley is terrific- he does a great job utilizing his size to cover wide receivers, is quick to adjust, and has great hands that allow him to jar the ball free and intercept passes on a routine basis. Against the run, Ridley does a great job pursuing after the ball carrier to make plays from sideline to sideline and is an excellent tackler that wraps up very well. Ridley has been a significant contributor to this Hewitt Trussville defense over the last two years, keep an eye on him as he heads into his junior season this fall- he’s going to put lots of people on notice.
