is a dominant EDGE for Hewitt-Trussville that Hillcrest’s offense will have to game plan for this week.
“At 6’3 220, Seals has a great frame, impressive speed, strength, and power that make him a force to be reckoned with as an underclassman. Against the run, Seals can set the edge very well, easily sheds blocks, and brings down the ball carrier behind or at the line of scrimmage.
As a pass rusher, Seals uses his size to his advantage- his long arms allow him to cross over and fly by offensive linemen, consistently winning matchups to pressure and take down opposing quarterbacks.”
Seals has been on fire this season, creating tons of pressure in pass rush and providing great run support off the edge as well. It’ll be tough for Hillcrest to slow him down; he’s an every-down force on the line of scrimmage.

has the potential to be one of the next great Hewitt Trussville prospects to hit the scene- what he was able to accomplish on their defense last fall as a freshman was fantastic to watch. Seals was an instant contributor in a tough division and really showed how much potential he has at EDGE. Standing at 6’3 220, Seals already possesses a really athletic build and has the speed, strength, power, and pursuit to match with it. It doesn’t matter if the opposing team runs or passes, he finds a way to get involved. Against the run, he sets the edge very well, can shed blocks with ease, and brings down the ball carrier before they can break past the line of scrimmage. When rushing the passer Seals really uses his build to his advantage- his long arms allow him to cross over and fly by offensive linemen to then bring down the quarterback, and he does it very often. Keep an eye on Seals- he really is an very impressive player already, the sky’s the limit for him!

Seals made the trip from Alabama over to Tennessee for the PRZ Next Rising Prospect Camp and didn’t disappoint. I added him to the 2027 PRZ Next National Watchlist just a few days before camp and then he earned MVP like it was meant to be. A long, athletic kid at 6-foot-2 and 185 pounds.

Rounding out the Alabama trio today is Defensive End/Tight End prospect D’ante Seals out of the Hewitt-Trussville program. Listed at 6-foot-2 and 185 pounds, Seals uses his length well and disengages from blockers using great extension on the edge. Wins the hand-fighting battles regularly and does a good job recreating the line of scrimmage with a steady push. While everything I’ve seen says Defensive End is his future, I wouldn’t completely rule out a future at Tight End. Due largely in fact that his older brother TaReall Seals is committed to Alcorn as Tight End and stands 6-foot-5 and 230 pounds.
