Consider me a fan of how Martin plays. He is listed at 6’4 240, and carries that listed weight well. He is versatile, spending time lined up all over the field, even taking some reps in the backfield. I love how he leverages and engages blocks. He fights hard at the point of attack to take control. As a pass catcher, he is a downhill player who can roll in space. Should develop as more of an HB type of player, where he can mix it up as a blocker and get opportunities as a receiver in the flats with room to roll.

Since our last update, Martin has put on more weight and is playing at 240 now. I think he’ll have a breakout season this fall, we’ll have to be on the lookout.

8/8/25: Good size, carries his listed weight well and still has room to bulk up. Eager to see more film from this fall, both as a receiver and as a blocker. Athletic enough to get the ball in space and bowl downhill. Hard to bring down once he gets going. Holds Georgia Southern offer. Might not have the athletic juice that some other TEs have, but the floor here is high and he is one of the best TEs in Alabama for his class.

Jackson Martin Jackson Martin 6'4" | 240 lbs | TE Hewitttrussville | 2027 State AL is a sophomore tight end prospect out of Hewitt Trussville that has all the tools to become a really good player for his offense going forward. Although Martin does not have as much tape, he certainly has the physical tools required to play the position. Standing at 6’4 215, Martin has the size to become a serious problem for opposing defenses. He has a wide wingspan that allows him to highpoint the ball as well as make catches over the tops of defenders, making him a threat at every level of the field. In the limited tape I watched, it’s clear that Martin has a good set of hands- he doesn’t use his body to catch and does a good job securing passes away from defenders. With his size and athleticism, Martin could become a really reliable weapon for Hewitt Trussville. Keep an eye on him, he’s headed into a big sophomore season where we could see his role on offense increase a bunch!
