stands out with his impressive size at 6’3” and 170 pounds, giving him an advantage over smaller defensive backs. His physicality allows him to win battles at the line of scrimmage and dominate in jump ball situations. Landrew’s route tree is diverse; he can run precise routes while also utilizing his size to shield defenders from the ball effectively. His speed complements his size well, making him a dual-threat receiver capable of stretching defenses vertically or working underneath routes. Coaches praise his football IQ and understanding of defensive coverages, which enhances his effectiveness on the field. With continued development, Landrew is expected to be a significant contributor at the next level.
Colben Landrew is a super talented dual-sport athlete out of Thompson that has done a lot for the school in both basketball and football. In football though, Landrew has become a really reliable receiver for his team’s offense that shows a lot of potential. Landrew has great size and provides a big physical target for his quarterback. Frequently on film he shows the ability to highpoint the ball, make some incredibly tough catches, and can use his athleticism to his advantage against a lot of defensive backs. Last fall, Landrew made a ton of plays and ended his season with 28 receptions for 562 yards and 13 touchdowns. Landrew was a super productive deep threat for them this past season, and if he continues to develop like he has, he’s only going to become more unstoppable. Landrew has been recruited in multiple sports but currently lists football offers from Ole Miss, Louisville and more!

is a super talented athlete for Thompson in both basketball and football, but has carved out a really nice role as a dominant wide receiver in their offense over the last year. Landrew is a big physical target that can highpoint the ball, make some incredibly tough catches, and outmatches every defensive back he faces with how athletic he is. Last fall, Landrew made a ton of plays for them, especially as a deep threat. He ended the season with 28 receptions for 562 yards and 13 touchdowns- it didn’t matter what defenses did, if their quarterback tossed it up for him he was going to come down with it. As mentioned earlier, Landrew is really talented in multiple sports and has been highly recruited in both basketball and football. Currently, he lists football offers from Ole Miss, Louisville and more!

, Thompson’s offensive beacon, shined brightly in a tough loss. His touchdown reception was more than just points on the board; it was a testament to his resilience and technical prowess. Landrew’s route running was a blend of art and precision, often leaving defenders grasping at shadows. His hands were magnets for the football, pulling in passes with a grace and surety that belied the high-pressure environment. Landrew’s ability to maintain focus and deliver in clutch moments not only uplifted his team but also showcased his readiness for more challenging stages in his football journey. Kid is a dawg and deserves everything that comes his way!
After the catch, Landrew is a nice contributor, using his size to fight through tackles and pick up yards after contact. He has good feel to know which way to break and cut after making a catch to give himself more space for yardage. Landrew is tough and physical as a runner, showing the ability to drive through defensive backs to get extra yardage. On wide receiver screens, Landrew is very capable to get upfield for good gains.

is a talented dual sport athlete for Thompson, excelling at basketball and football- and he’s due for a big year next fall on the grid iron. Landrew has great size, moves naturally, and has great length he will be able to use to his advantage when it comes to making contested catches. Making big plays on the basketball court right now for Thompson, keep an eye out for Landrew this upcoming season- I think he’s got the chance to make an impact.
